如果我英语没问题的话，那么下面这个vetassess给小R的信，对于所有在国内完成本科或者硕士，直接来澳洲读博士，为职业评估烦恼的筒子都是好消息，因为对于博士，50分，绰绰有余。

The nominated occupation you are inquiring aboutis a 50 point occupation.

The requirements to pass a VETASSESS assessment for a 50 point occupation are that you hold an equivalent of an Australian level Bachelor's degree, or higher.

VETASSESS carries out an assessment of your post secondary qualification, such as university or polytechnic qualifications. This involves providing a written opinion on the comparability of your secondary qualifications to the Australian qualifications required for a particular occupation.

If you would like to nominate any of our occupation for the Employer Sponsored Migration you must specify that your assessment is an ENS assessment.

In order to receive a positive result with any ENS (Employer Nominated Skill) Occupations the applicant must have the equivalent to three years post secondary school qualifications. This would generally be that of a Bachelor Degree but could equate to the Advanced Diploma requiring three years of study.

According to the General Skilled Migration Handbook (Book 6), for more general professional occupations, you must have a qualification equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree or higher qualification (for 50 point occupations), or to an Australian diploma or advanced diploma (for 40 point occupations), but it need not be specifically related to your nominated occupation.

If you wish to change your nominated occupation after you have received a positive assessment results from VETASSESS, you can by applying in writing and requesting to nominate a new occupation. This is called a Reissue and requires a small fee of $27.50.

Qualifications Assessment Unit assesses only the LEVEL of qualification, therefore you may choose any occupation assessed by VETASSESS Qualifications Assessment Unit, even if your qualification does not relate to your nominated occupation. As long as it meets the requirements it can potentially be assessed as Positive.

Please note that work experience is not relevant to a VETASSESS Qualifications Assessment Unit assessment. VETASSESS Qualifications Assessment Unit do not assess work experience. VETASSESS Qualifications Assessment Unit only assesses your formal higher education qualifications.

Qualifications Assessment Unit are not permitted to advise clients as to which occupation they should nominate.
VETASSESS Qualifications Assessment Unit will normally assess only to the minimum requirement of your nominated occupation.

You can obtain a description of an occupation by consulting the Australia Skills Recognition Information (ASRI) on the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) website http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/


I have attached an application form which you can print out or you can apply on line (see below), as well as some extra information needed when applying for a qualification assessment.

Extra Information:

Most assessments should normally be completed within 6 weeks. In a small number of cases, the time frame may be longer than this. Currently qualifications which are not covered by the assessment guidelines in the Country Education Profiles published by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR), and qualifications from Pakistan and the People's Republic of China, may take longer to complete.

Please take note that the 6 weeks is an estimate only as it clearly states on our website. Qualifications Assessment Unit are unable to guarantee that an application will be completed within this timeframe as some assessments, for example, may require consultations etc...This estimate dose not includes the time taken by the applicant to provide us with item(s) we request in order to proceed with an assessment.

Before your application can be assessed, you will need to provide:

1.       all the information requested on the application form
2.       all the specified documents detailed below
3.       the assessment fee

• A certified copy of your birth certificate or relevant pages from your passport showing your date of birth, name and photo.
• A certified copy of your award certificate for your (degree) in the original language and in English. If this is unavailable, a statement of completion from the academic registrar may be accepted in lieu. The letter should confirm that you have successfully completed all the requirements for the qualification and the date of the award of the degree or that you are eligible for the award of the degree.
• A certified copy of the official academic transcript/record showing subjects studied, results achieved/obtained in the original language and in English for your (degree). If this is unavailable, a letter from the academic registrar stating the reason(s) why the transcript is not available, the length of the course and completion date may be accepted in lieu.
• Certified Evidence of change of name, e.g. marriage certificate.
• Two recent passport sized photographs certified as a true likeness of yourself, by a person authorised to certify documents.
• An ASCO Code and nominated occupation that is assessed by VETASSESS. (Please refer to http://www.immi.gov.au/asri for the skilled occupations list).
• The application declaration page with your application was not signed by the applicant. We must have the applicant’s original signature on the applicant declaration before we can begin the assessment.

Certification: In many countries people such as lawyers, Justices of the Peace and Public Notaries (among others) are authorised to certify documents.

The identity of the person certifying your documents should be clear and include:

* Original signature of the certifying officer
* Full name and title of the certifier
* Stamp/registration number - if applicable
* Contact details including the certifiers address and telephone number
Any documentation pertaining to a qualification you wish to have assessed must be submitted. You may include as many post secondary qualifications as you wish, but all the relevant information needs to be submitted, which includes award certificates and transcripts.

If you have recently completed your course and do not yet have your award certificate, you will need to obtain a letter from the Academic Registrar which states that you have completed your qualification and are eligible for the qualification. This must come from the Academic Registrar and not from the Faculty office.

Certification:

Anyone authorised to certify documents, such as (in Australia), Justices of the Peace, barristers or solicitors, police officers, Members of Parliament, dentists and pharmacists.

On Line Assessments:

We would like to inform you that VETASSESS has introduced an Online Qualification Assessment application site called "eassess", which allows people to apply for a qualification assessment over the Internet.

Application Fee's:

The application fees for qualification assessment are as follows:

If you want an Australian qualification only to be assessed the fee is AUD$319 (including GST).
If you want an overseas qualification to be assessed the fee is AUD$385 (including GST).

The relevant fee must be paid in Australian dollars and must accompany your application form as a bank draft, bank cheque or money order payable to VETASSESS. Funds can not be paid directly to our VETASSESS bank account. You can also apply online at our website and make payment using credit card.

Alternatively, you can provide your credit card details on page 4 of our application form.

Please Note: VETASSESS cannot accept American Express or Diners Club credit cards.

If you are not in Australia at the time of lodging your application, you may be exempt from paying the GST component. You need to provide evidence for this exemption such as a Statutory Declaration, to be included with your application. The fee will then be AUD$290 for an Australian qualification, and $350 for an overseas qualification.

Please note this fee is non refundable and is subject to change without notice

GST Exemption:

If the only address for correspondence is your overseas address, VETASSESS will accept that as proof of GST exemption. If you are going to correspond through an Australian address VETASSESS will require the following:

1.       A certified Statutory Declaration or Affidavit stating that you were not in Australia at the time of applying.

(A certified statutory declaration is a declaration made before and by someone authorised to do statutory declarations in your country. This could be a notary public, a medical practitioner, a dentist, a legal practitioner or so on. You can also download a template of an Australian Statutory Declaration from this website ([url=]www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/statdec.pdf[/url]) and make the declaration at the Australian Embassy before an official. The statutory declaration must state clearly that the applicant is not in Australia at the time of lodging the application and must list the full name, title and address of the person certifying the document.)

1.       If the applicant is represented by an agent we can accept an official letter, on company letterhead, signed by a Registered Migration Agent, confirming that the applicant was not in Australia at the time of applying.

2.       A signed letter from the applicant alone is not sufficient evidence to exempt that applicant from paying GST.

Even if the applicant is not a resident of Australia, if they are in the country, goods and services purchased while here still include GST. Make sure the declaration specifies that the applicant was not in Australia at the time of lodging the application.

50分职业+30分年龄+25分语言,IELTS4个7(对于博士来说写作不过7怎么写论文,口语不过7怎么做TA,所以认为一般4个7应该对博士来说没问题,哪怕是在澳洲考)+5分社区语言+25分博士加分=135.

就算IELTS4个6也有125,如果IELTS4个6都没到....兄弟你怎么过来读Ph.D.的？

澳洲自费Ph.D.不少，也不是很难申请。小R的背景很差，也去悉尼大学读Mphil，姑且就很虚伪的自称Ph.D.了，因为最起码social work这个专业的Mphil转Ph.D.很简单，基本是mostly，其他专业听说也一样。

但是要想好，澳洲3年Ph.D.毕业是不容易的，一般都是3.5年或者4年。

兴趣比什么都重要，问问自己，读博士的动机到底是兴趣占主导还是博士的虚名占主导。

然后给自己几天，一天看N篇论文，感受下那种感觉，能承受不。

我的意思是只要有本科学位，就可以申请任何VET职业评估，但是职业评估通过后，在澳洲学习的课程要和要和通过的职业相关。

通俗一点就是，在澳洲所学的课程要能在VET找到相关的职业。

举个例子：假如A在澳洲学的专业是法律专业，那他可以通过VET任何评估，但很难用 这个评估移民。因为法律专业不是VET评估范围, VET找不到和法律专业相关的职业
