History, the North Star which shines in the sky inspire and guide people pursue their success and bright future in the dark night, has brought enormous confuse to the historians. Many people insist that the study of history values only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives, however in my perspective, both of the kinds of the history which is relevant or irrelevant to our daily lives are worthy to be studied.

Firstly, to learn from the history is conductive to our daily life. The history guides us when exploits our ways to the success and it is a useful tool used to cognize the world in this era. The essential factors of a series of significant events may be the same, and if one pays sufficient emphasis to those factors, he or she will gain the method using to impose the conundrums in this epoch. For example, a general in a battle who was puzzled by a serious and exigent strategy affair which may determine the destiny of his army, if his or her brain was fraught with famous battles in the history among which exist a special one fitting for the condition of the huge problem that general confronting would transform into the key of this battle. Moreover the legends of heroes and giants in the history inspire people who balk by the conundrum to pursue a better life and strive to their goals. The experiences handed from the ancients are treasures which can make people crystal clear that one can compare their current states with ancient on the way to success, with the inspiration of history one may take a never surrendered attitude to defeat the enemy named difficult. The gallant behaviors of the 300 warriors from Sparta who defeat a huge amount of enemies not only by their power but also by their unrelenting drive to succeed always inspire the people in the battle of commerce. And the successes of Napoleon, a famous general who conquer the entire Europe, also inspire people boggle by their difficulties of their daily life.

Further more, the history which is considered to be irrelevant to our daily lives has significant status in the study of history. To learn from the history and to summarize the successful experience of predecessors prevent us from making the same fatal mistakes which have brought immense bale in the history. Form the calamity of flood, we cognize that it is absolutely necessary to record the water level of a certain river, and after marking the highest level and calculating the average level of the last few centuries, people will be warned by the comparison of the water level data. From the tragedy of the Second World War, we know that fascist and autarchy which are the criminals of that war should be annihilated in this era. Actually, those so called irrelevant histories are propitious to daily life indirectly. In 2003, the sever acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) which engulfed the entire China brought enormous chaos to Chinese society what made people sink in colossal panic, however people all the country bound together and at last SARS was defeated. To learn from this history may be none of use to our daily life, but it indirectly educate us that how significant the solidarity is, and when confronting conundrums in one’s job, cooperation could make the work prefect.

To sum up, a famous American female writer, named peal Buck, said that” if you want to understand today, you have to search yesterday”. History is immense and exhaust treasure handed down form our ancients, when puzzled by nowadays issues this treasure just like a loyal sever waiting at one’s side is always ready to answer your questions. When all the factors are examined we may safely go to the conclusion that the history which is relevant or irrelevant to our daily life is worthy study.
