《看上去很美》的影评,希望大家给点意见
Why we don’t have beliefs
I think the movie told of some interesting stories that happened in the little Fang Qiangqiang’ childhood, it is a period in the special kindergarten.
The main idea the director or the author want to express is obviously to resist rules, conformity. The author highly advocates individuality and personality, and he successfully transmitted his thoughts to our audience.
In the movie, all the children do their best to adjust themselves to the school’s regimen of how and when to eat, dress, wash his hands, and use the bathroom. Due to the power of little red flowers, they eventually become the ideal students the teachers want them to be. I just wonder why they changed so easily. You may explain that they are just children, they don’t have their own value system, it is a nature that people want to be praised, don’t want to be alone.
The world of children is a reflection of the adult world, which is the same everywhere. The little red flowers don’t have strong power any more, but there is fame, profit, power which is more powerful, we work hard to get high marks, we sacrifice our health to get promoting, we spent all the time and energy to gain wealth. Some people even engaged in immoral activities to shorten this long way. Why? They still don’t establish their own value system? Or they just struggle in the frame set down by others? So what are their real ideas? Or what do they believe?
I have thought about the question all the times, because I am not excluded. I suspect the things I used to stick; I don’t know what I want to do; I don’t know how I can fulfill my life. Why are most of us in state?
I may share some of my ideas with you, but I don’t think it is the best answer.
In ancient times, outstanding persons came forth in large numbers, a hundred school of thoughts contended. Various schools communicated and absorbed from each other. In the later two thousand long periods, all the people have a deep belief in Confucianists’ ideas. In modern history, western thought spread into China, many people confused, they doubted about the traditional cultural, they did not insist on the former faith. Till the new china established, Marxism became the mainstream, people regained confidence, and they were craze about Marxism, communism. But later convulsions made most of them disbelieve it, and then they lose belief once again.
I think this phenomenon has some relationship with the bent education system. Just like the education depicted in the film, this institutionalized education just instills mechanical answers into students, force them to do something, forbid them other things. Freedom of thoughts is stifled early in their life; they are not capable to think, to discriminate, so they don’t understand these schools of thoughts, how can they believe something that they don’t even comprehend. Back to the movie, the reason why little flowers are so powerful is that most people have this utilitarian belief. They can understand material, the honor represented by the little red flowers. However, these are not spiritual beliefs; they could just be named as desires or lust.
That is what I thought about from the movie. Crisis of belief among our Chinese is related to historical reason, nevertheless the importance of education must be emphasized. |
