According to the speaker, the individual needs and interests of each students is so important to education that it is the only way to make education be truly effective. Although I agree with the point that needs and interests of individuals are the momentum for learning even achieving something worthwhile, I contend that the individual needs and interests should be developed only when the essential subjects are contented according to (两个according to,是否换个词)the current teaching resources. I concede that interests provoke a state of curiosity or concern about or attention to something, which are known as momentum not only of learning but also of achieving something worthwhile. We could hardly see any accomplishment, which has been made by its owner without fastening his ardor or interests upon it. On the one hand, interests arouse strong desires for learning and further exploration, which nothing can substitute. On the other hand, individual interests assist people to win through when facing difficulties. Imagine, if a student is forced to study a certain curriculum by pressure of parents or teachers, the student may find himself or herself devoid of dynamic to crack on, because there is no prop to rely on. Despair, dejection, lack of fervor--all above boil down to the dreariness of hardness, saying nothing of effectively achieving the goal of education.Yet, as people might take for granted that the more specifically designed education one can get according to his or her own needs and interests, the more effective it will turn out to be since students will be much more actively engaged in study with their favor, we must note the fact that such ideal education system seldom exists in the reality considering the limit teaching resources involved compared to the exorbitant amount of students. (前面几乎都是铺垫,这铺垫是不是长了点)Identify effective education as to meet the individual needs and interests of each student would be to illustrate that education will forever be ineffective; any informed person who believes otherwise is envisioning a pure socialist state where the society provide for all of the citizens' needs-- a vision which amounts to fantasy.Additionally, even if educational resources abound, specifically designed education should not take the place of traditional general education. After all, the development of knowledge is based upon concentrating a large number of colligate knowledge, such as arts, science and the like, then the special knowledge can well( be) developed. Besides, each subject could provide us unique perceptive for seeking the answers essential to the process of learning. As Francis Bacon, a British philosopher contented:” Histories make men wise ; poems witty; the mathematics subtle; natural philosophy deep ; moral grave ; logic and rhetoric able to contend .” Further, with the growth of all these academics into more and more complex and profound divergences, today the society is more urgent not only for few prodigy to contain details of one kind of knowledge but for large amount of talented persons well prepared by general knowledge and ready for construction in any field. Thus, the importance of study essential and general knowledge is still should be heed to every students, and the education, until the students enter at the gate of special research lever, while specific education cannot substitute. To sum up, the speaker begs the question. I concede that interests and needs of individuals are significant in the learning process. However, the effectiveness of education involves certain pragmatic factors in reality and tradition general education should also be actively assigned.
