1.         有保留的赞成，现在阶段机器是人类的工具并被人类掌控，但在未来还可能有不可预料的因素改变这种情况。
2.         机器在被发明时就是作为工具为人类服务的。交通工具的例子，是为了满足人了舒适快捷的需求，本质上与其他工具没有区别。
3.         即使机器在许多领域能做人类做不了的事情，但机器的强大能力是人类赋予的，离开了人类机器什么也做不了。
4.         机器越来越智能化和不可缺少，未来机器有可能具备更多的功能而不仅仅是工具。

The speaker claims that human mind will always be superior to machines because machines are only tools of human mind. I agree with the speaker that in our contemporary life, machines are truly tools of human minds and therefore are under the control of human beings. However, the speaker unnecessarily extents this board assertion to embrace the longer term situation, while ignoring certain unpredictable elements that may possibly change the relationship between human mind and machines.

The primary reason why I agree with the speaker is that most of the machines are invented as tools to server for human beings. After all, the machine is an advanced form of tools that human beings have ever created although machines have larger power than such other tools which made by wood or some other elementary material. For instance, from vehicles to trains, from ships to airplanes, all means of transport are tools for human to move from place to place and not being impeded by severe natural obstacles. People manufacture these machines to help them move faster and easier. From this point of view, machines have the same functions as other tools, which is to assist people in changing the world as well as making people's life more convenient and comfortable. Hence, the machines are still tools of human mind in essence.

Moreover, machines can only do what human beings tell them to do no matter how powerful the machines are. For example, the computers are able to analyze a huge mount of data in a few seconds which human can never do like that. Yet it is human who write programs, produce hardware, perform operations which support the computers to finish an unbelievable job. In other words, even though machines can outdo human beings in many cases, they remain under the control of human. Because machines can do nothing without human intelligence and therefore the strong abilities of machines are derived from human mind.

Admittedly, nowadays, the machines are become more and more intelligent and indispensable and devised with more functions and not just tools. It is entirely possible one day machines could be devised with independent thoughts, emotional response and therefore it is questionable to call them "machines" at that time. As we all know, it is the desire of satisfying human beings' own needs that promote machines to a more advanced level. However, people are never satisfied with what they have already got. Perhaps owing to mental loneliness, human would devise machines with which people could communicate, as the movie "Artificial Intelligence" showed us: although it is impossible today, but not definitely in the future. As what we can see in the real world, pursuing more satisfaction would probably lead to the abuse of advanced technology.

To sum up, as a result of human intelligence, machines are still tools of human mind and therefore human will be superior to machines in the foreseeable period. However, the speaker neglects that the intelligence of human would make us superior as well as servant, because the technology develops so fast that machines would possibly involve multiple functions, not just tools.
