  Is it the artist gives something of lasting value in our society rather than the critic in our society? The speaker claims that the artists specialize in novels, films, music, painting, etc. So they can better recognize that the true value of the art. However, the speaker seems to fail to take into account that the significant position of critic who contributes in the field of art. A direct correlation between critic and artist has been overlooked by the speaker. As for me, in order to balance, I think it is equally important to both of sides.  
  Critic in fact has served to autistics’ works in many aspects such as novels, films, music, paintings, etc. The identity of most critics actually is artist; it is obviously that art will further go to maturity from comments or ideas by themselves. Art as a form of idea and inspiration from artists is a power due to diverse style of appreciation from people who have different perspective of values. What kind of value for that different people would be preference? Such those problems, we must require critic instead of artist to help us for judging and explaining different form of art that we truly need. Consequently, both artist and critic are more playing extremely important role in our modern society, and they can promote that art go to maturity phase.
  In addition, disparity of comments or remarks can also help people who are contemporary era or even an unborn era to realize artworks. One of the distinct examples is the famous fantasy film which has received most renown—“The Lord of the Rings”. Based on the remark and comments from local critics, increasing number of people finally to accept this film and then the film become more and more popularity all over the world. From this example, we can see that artist and critic all should be encouraged to develop their original idea and thinking for the field of art. Either the critic or the artist, who contributes about the art, will exert a significant impact on the development of art and its performance. Therefore, critic is still playing extremely important role in progress of art, which is booming the value of art in modern society and over the majority of people length by length.
  On the other hand, I concede that as a artworks which were invented by artists will finally produce a eminently important influence on development of modern society. Although some artworks are controversial by different remarks or non-appreciate initially, it is the true that those artworks are also required its reputation and accepted by society. Monet's famous work " Impression: Sunrise" is the best appropriated illustration, which was not understand initially, since it seems particular a large amount of blue as a major color for the sunrise. Nevertheless, this work eventually earned its own reputation. As the mentioned above, it is undoubtedly that artist's artworks produce a far-reaching impact on the progress of society even make it brilliant in the river of history and in the long run.
   In conclusion, while some people may still remain unconvincing, the reasons that I analyzed in above controversial argument should at least make them in a large sense to aware of the complexities in this issue under discussion. There is undoubtedly that more and more people will come to realize that the position of important between critic and artist about the value of art.
