issue175 飞越dreams第3次作业 by gre_killer_wu

Issue 175
"It is always an individual who is the impetus for innovation; the details may be worked out by a team, but true innovation results from the enterprise and unique perception of an individual."

字数:422

I fundamentally agree with the author’s claim in economical fields and commercial activities. History informs us that, in most scenarios, a great leader appeared in a society’s critical period caused by the rigidness of political or economical systems. And then a new order will be created by this leader, to rejuvenate the society.

Take a consideration to the situation of America in 1930s, when the Great Depression is striking America heavily. With a quarter of the labor force out of work and the gross national product cut almost in half, the capitalism in America was undermined greatly. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who appeared at this crossroad, promoted a revolutionary reformation in the economical system. As is known to all, his New Deal brought vigor back to the America’s economical system.

Most innovations in commercial activities are also created by few persons, although the chief inventors may not be a single person. A compelling argument for this assertion is Walt Disney, who created Mickey Mouse and invented the theme park. When the cartoons were just short pieces displayed before the formal performing of a movie, the brothers got an aspiration to try to produce a full-length animated movie, which had not be thoroughly considered and done by anyone else ever before. After the success of the full-length animated movie, they continued to show their ability in innovation. The creation of theme parks characterized by Mickey Mouse and figures in fairy tales, brought children all around world a happy childhood, and thus render them a great success.

Also, a president can not complete everything in a profound transformation. And a chief executive will need his subordinates’ help to embody the specifications of his ideas. However, the help from subordinates, are usually and merely a path for the leaders to realize his or her mindful constructions. Perhaps other members in a team facilitates the embodiment of the leaders, the source of innovations is the leaders, especially great leaders.

On the other hand, the author’s claim amounts to an overstatement when it comes to scientific endeavors, especially to scientific endeavors today. Innovations in science, usually results from the remedy to old theories by which newly-observed phenomenon can not be explained. Because of the complexity of scientific theories, nobody can give a perfect explanation. The final theorical system accepted by most scientists, usually contain several scientists’ idea on a particular field.

In sum, the proposal contention of the claim agrees with the fact in economical fields and commercial activities. But it is an unreasonable assertion in scientific works.

I fundamentally(还是这个词,你argument里也用过,不知你哪里曾见过这种用法,查过就两个意思:1.basic 2.important,“主要的”还是用basicallychieflymainly什么的) agree with the author’s claim in economical fields and commercial activities. History informs us that, in most scenarios, a great leader appeared in a society’s critical period caused by the rigidness of political or economical systems.

In sum, the proposal contention of the claim agrees with the fact in economical fields and commercial activities. But it is an unreasonable assertion in scientific works.

可能我有一段没说清楚,是innovative thought被实现了才成为innovation,如果不能实现,个人的努力就失败了。
