UK College of Pharmacy moves up to 5th in US News and World Report Survey

Friday, March 28, 2008—The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy ranked as the fifth best pharmacy school in the nation, according to the newly released U.S. News and World Report's 2009 Edition of America's Best Graduate Schools.
"This survey ranking is just one indicator of the success of our students and faculty as national and world leaders in pharmacy," said Dean Kenneth B. Roberts.  "UK College of Pharmacy students and faculty consistently are recognized and honored as among the best in the United States. These accomplishments can be attributed to the dedication and high standards of our students, educators, researchers and clinical care providers. I hope all Kentuckians share our pride in the continuing success and high achievement of our students, 90 percent whom are young men and women from the Commonwealth."
The U.S. News and World Report list is scheduled for publication in the April 7?14 issue.
In addition, UK pharmacy students have the highest first-time pass rate on the national licensing exam among all pharmacy programs in the U.S. with a 100 percent pass-rate the past four out of five years. Pharmaceutical sciences faculty members also were ranked fourth out of 354 institutions in scholarly activity including productivity in publications in the 2006-07 Faculty Scholarly Activity index, released by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
