In mathematics, the support of a function is, in general, the set of points where the function is not zero. More specifically, a support of a function f  from a set X  to the real numbers R is a subset Y of X such that f (x) is zero for all x in X that are not in Y. 这个函数定义域中让函数不等于0的部分。

比如f(x)=1-x^2

那这个函数的定义域是(-infinity, infitity)
他的SUPPORT是(-infinity,-1) 并(-1,1)并(1, infitity)--即刨除1,-1这2个点。
