Fashion has become increasingly popular around the world. People's opinion toward this phenomenon is divergent according to their distinctive culture and background. As far as I am concerned, I believe it is natural that people put emphasis on appearance and fashion.

Firstly, the most straightforward reason that account for this occurrence may be people's inherent affection of beauty. Beauty is so fascinating that people in ancient times have already known dressing up with flowers and shells. They also record their feeling of this enjoyable impact in numerous literature articles and poems. Therefore, it is reasonable that people in current time spare no effort to adorn themself with fascinating clothes and shining jewelry. What they do now is no more different from their ancestors did in ancient time. Maybe purchasing beauty is the nature of human race.

Besides, with the enhancement of our society and technology, people have more time, energy and money to make themself attracting. Industrialization which had emancipate us from tedious work has pervaded into almost every country in this globe, providing people more time and energy to better enjoy their life. Therefore, people concern more about life quality and life style which are partly related to fashion and apperance. And the advance in worldwide economy stimulate the desire of buying goods among customers. These product obviously including clothes, makeup and other fashion stuffs.

Moreover, appearance has become even more significant in social activities. We must admit that impression often determine people's judgement toward another person. To shape a good impression, people will employ divergent methods. While the most direct and efficient way to achieve their goal must be clothes and make up. Therefore, a man in his interview will seriously choose tie, shoes, and clothes. A girl in her dating will use perfume and makeup to ensure a attractive appearance. In this manner, people pleasing other and get pleasure from other. No wonder today appearance has become a industry that provide millions of job opportunities and make billions of money each year.

In conclusion, the prevalence and popularity of fashion is quite natural and common. The human nature, its easily accessibility and increasingly importance to common people together lead to this prevailing phenomenon.
