There is no doubt that technology determines the human destiny. It was the compass directed Colombo to the America, the atomic bomb that ended the World War II and the aeroplane that carried Armstrong towards the Moon. But do our custom and ethics changed or even determined by the technology? I do agree the custom and ethnics are influenced but not that they are determined by the technology.

It is true that the convenience and comfort accompany with the technology changed our life, both positively and negatively. Currently, it is possible for anyone to view the world via Internet, to get cloths washed by the washing machines and to tolerate the pollutant by the chemical factory. It is not the matter whether our life qualities are getting better or worse, but it has been changed and this trend is less likely to stop. But are we thinking differently, which decide the social customs and ethnics?

Apparently, we are sharing the same, or at least similar, value system with our ancestors even the technology changed the lifestyle dramatically. The Chinese are still cherishing the family as a most significant part of life, the Americans are still proud of their freedom nation, even the Jaws and Palestine are fight against each others nowadays. Those facts are droved by our minds instead of the technology. Technology, in those circumstances, are merely the tools that trains make it possible for Chinese to get together with families, modern media contribute to proliferate the thought of freedom and the F-22 combines with rockets kill humans in the Mid-east.

Admittedly, we are more assertive than our ancestors with the modern technology. We confidently claim that we are changing the world while our ancestors never know the earth is round before enlightened. We are heating the earth with green house gas and we believe we can turn the situation better after by using the clean energy. We are assertive that we can finally defeat the AIDS as we have conquered many diseases. We believe we can clone people as we are more familiar with gene than ever before. It is the technology that gives us certain assertiveness. We dare to believe the world will be better even the answers to those questions are remained unknown. The technology has changed the way we behave, we are depleting the earth with the mind everything will be fine when better technology exists in the future. We never feel guilty to our greedy.

Is the technology that determined the human's greedy or the opposite indicates truth? The question aroused as the greedy determined the social customs and ethnics. From my point of view the greedy is the initial motivation that stimulate the progress of technology though the technology make us assertive to overcome the guilty. Every great invention such as lights, computers and automobiles are aim to make our life easier, in other words, to satisfied the greedy. In this regard, the core ethnic of human beings are remained the same and the social customs do not changed dramatically.  


In sum, it seems all human customs and ethnics could be explained by greedy. The reason why we cherish family unity, freedom and fighting against each others are greet as we want to satisfied the sense of belongingness and even hostile. The technology is merely the way that we satisfied our greedy though it affects us be more assertive as a result.

Should we allocate more money for immediate problems?
Should we allocate more money for immediate problems? The speaker asserts that. While I agree that immediate problems are important for it involves our well-being, it can’t conceived me that it is logical determination. Long-term research has many benefits, thus when we determine whether we should make more efforts to problems. Thus, we should cautious on it.

I concede that this assertion has a great of direction values. After all, humilities will take serious attention on the problems which they confronting. People prefer the basic living ability rather than the long-terms. Accordingly, it is necessary to assign to a higher priority to immediate problems such the hunger, drug, violence when it comes to allocates public sources to social problems. However, there is doubt that the long-term issues should give in it's fundamentality role on social develop.

The assertion also has considerable merits on the basic the reason that solve immediate problems will let the current people's life more comfortable or at least more well-being. It is important to let her citizens feel happy for a state, but as human beings the big differential from animal is that we have thinking and can plan for future. I can’t image that if we only concern the current things, how the world will become, let alone make benefits to help future generations. So it's necessary to take long-term into consideration when it comes to government budget.

On the other hand are two compelling arguments against that we should take the immediate more serious when allocate money than long-term research. First has to do methodology. The exact way to solves problems is that solve it when it begins to come out. We do long-term research is also a solution to solves immediate problems which will be a immediate problems when we be old if we don't research it. The nature problems Such as the air pollution, water pollution, the Global Warming and so on. If we take any action such as research how to  improve the efficiency of use petroleum or coal and other pollute fuel or how to control the pollution gas and crap influence human beings life when it appear, our world would be a more beautiful and our life would be more comfortable. At that time this research is long-term issues but is immediate issue today.Isn't it a good example to tell us recognizing the important of long-term issues is also have much significance?

Second has to do morality. All of us know that public source is finity some of them are share with future generations, for examples, the petroleum and other non-renewable source, we shouldn't dive into much money to explore these resources for the pretext that we face dressing problems of fuel crisis. We should take resposibility for the well being of our future generation, for the reason that human beings are the highest level creature in the living nature. If we do like that there is no differential between animals.

To sum, this issue of how to allocate money between for immediate and long-term problems is complex topic, connecting to certain moral duty, social values and sensibility. Hence, it is sloppy to draw an easy or certain conclusion. Yet, when the immediate problems comes to the basic living abilities it is necessary to allocate more money for it, while on other issue we should be circumspect about the budget.

1，   解决长期问题很重要，不然发展到后来可能不能被解决，或者等问题出现为时已晚

2，   解决短期问题也很重要，不然发展下去可能会更加难以解决，也对子孙造成伤害

3，   更好得教育，把问题杜绝在根源

In this regard, the core ethnic of human beings are remained the same and the social customs do not changed dramatically.  觉得此段应作为论证的重点，因为这是和其他人的论点不同的地方，也就是你unique的地方，要充分的说服对方。反正我是没有被说服的。真的人类是因为贪婪才提高科技的吗？刚开始应该是为了生存吧，等到可以维持生存后人类才开始有了贪欲，greedy这个词最好换一下，是个贬义词，圣经中七宗罪之一。

总体还成把，首尾呼应的很好，但是文章的篇章重点应该再修改一下。还有就是段落间的顺序和结构最好调整一下，和祖先share--- 但是还是有不同点---似乎是因为technology---但是实际上是因为desire or greedy--conclusion。个人意见，仅供参考
