"Most societies do not take their greatest thinkers seriously, even when they claim to admire them."
很多社会并不重视思想家，即使社会宣称很景仰这些思想家。

提纲：有些思想家得到社会重视，有些没有。当思想家的理论被大家普遍接受并且解释或者引导人们走出疑惑，树立信心之类的通常被人们接收景仰。有些思想家虽然很伟大，但是当时人们出于对神学信仰或者统治阶级的打压，没有得到推崇。还有一些是因为自己思想太过于深奥，或者自己太有性格，没有得到当时社会的认同。

There are so many greastest thinkers in human societies, and the theories of these great people profoundly influeced contemporaries and played an important role in the later periods.The speaker claim that most societies do not take their greatest thinkers seriously. I agree insofar as several great thinkers' thoughts were ignored or excluded in some periods. However, some's were revalent in the liberal atmosphere in thier societies.

Of course, all the great thinkers had outstanding theories. When most people desired the explaination of some confusions or wanted the truth of things in their lives, they were just satisfied by some great thinkers. Therefore, the theories of the thinkers became the principles of doing things or articles of faith. There are many examples in the history. Alistotle, a pupil of Plato, was one of the greatest pilosophers in Ancient Greece. Some of principal aspects of the thought can be seen in his studies in physics, natural philosophy, ethics and so on. And these thoeries told the people some truth about the nature or exactly led the people out of some cofusions. From that time, the people admired the things Alistotole want to convey. So he has had the experience of being the tutor of Alexander and shares the distinction of being the most famous ancient philosophers. Not only in weastern society, but also in the eastern, there were many thinkers given high ratings even prostrated by the people. For example, Confucius, one of the most important thinkers in China, and one of the most influential figures in world history. His theories still influence most of the people today in China. He taught the people "li" and "xin" which still chose by some people as the faith of their lives.

However, even some theory systems of the great thinkers were very exceptional, these thinkers could not be accepted by the societies at the time. Perhaps, they were ignored by the people's faith of God or merely by inocence. The great philosopher, Sacrates, was seen as a famous person but not a well-respected thinker in Ancient Greece. He was famed for his bizarre behavior in other people's eyes. It is absurd that Sacrates was sentenced to death without a accurate crime in the end. In some periods, the concept of liberaty was narrow-minded, and it strangled many great discoveries and thoughts.

While some thinkers were overlooked due to their thoughts difficult to understand, though the theories were proved great later. They usually had distinctive charaters and don't mind others' misunderstanding. Take Nietzsche as an example, German philosopher, poet, and classical philologist, who was one of the most provocative and influential thinkers. He did not get any response to his theory in his period and was treated as a joke.

In sum, the speaker's attitude about the way societies treated these greatest thinkers was unilateral. As we all know, Humans can deliberate is the biggest differernce from animals. The great theories of the thinkers was the fortune of all the human beings. Perhaps, they were not respected in some periods due to several cause. We must believe that these glaring thoughts will never vanish in the history.

由于工作年底加班，时间太紧张，所以两点才搞完，距离要求的时间还是晚了

但是尽力了，英语基础不好，issue 对我来说非常困难，希望批的同学多提意见

匆忙之间贴上，是为了不耽误大家的进度，肯定有很多低级错误来不及修改
