51. "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student." 教育只有被专门设计来满足每一个学生个人需求和兴趣的时候才是真正有效率的
Education is always narrowly defined as school education, which is aims to cultivate students who own the ability to face the challenge they will encounter in the future. Obviously, to make the education effective, meeting the individual needs and interests of each student is not the only available way.

Without denying that the interests are play a vital role in the effective education to some degree. As the old saying goes that teaching students according their appetite. When we teach student in accord with their interests the result is usually better. There is a striking example which can tell the importance of interest. Bill Gates, regarded as the most successful merchant in the world, whose success is due to his interest. In order to do what he really interest in he even gave up the opportunity to continue studying in Harvard University, a place almost aspired to by everyone. His success has convinced us that interests are important. The same goes to Leonardo da vinci, who is fond of drawing since his childhood.And the anecdote of drawing eggs is well known to us, if it is not  so interested in drawing, to repeat to draw the simple eggs is not so simple. Of cause, it is helpful to his later success. In short, meet the students’ interests will do good to effective education.

Nevertheless, it is not so easy a job to meet interests of each student. For our instructional resource is limit. It is quite impossible to appoint a teacher to a student. Since we have so many students in the class but we have not so many teachers to meet every student's requirement. Nowadays, even the doctoral supervisor will guide two or three or even more students at the same time. When it comes to the students in high school or primary school it will be even more difficilt to realize the one by one tutoring.

In addition, our aim is to cultivate students possess the capability to solve the problem that they encounter in future. So a variety of capabilities are required. If we overstate the importance of individual interests we would lead to bad consequence, which is they are lack of the ability to solve sorts of problems. That is to say, our basis subjects cannot to be ignored even when the students are abhorrent of them. Such as mathematics, physics, philosophy, chemistry and so on. Draw a conclusion that we should treat the vary cases in a suitable way.

In sum, to make the education really beneficial to every student, namely, to provide students with fundamental and useful skills and knowledge, we should try our best to balance their interests and the practical situation to guarantee an effective education
