Though the scientific appearances may vary widely, we should not oppose that every science has various influence on human society. I concede the statement of the argument that scholars or scientists should not focus much on
whether their discoveries or knowledge can contribute to the society, every effect does make sense, and personally, I do believe that the time before contribution of science take effect would range from case to case.

In reality, we do in favor that some discoveries or some development which take effect quickly would acquire much more investment, such as the IT technology, and the business related researches, for the reason that as the rapidly evolving society, IT and the business researches has

played important parts on promoting the development of the economy, so that investment is adequately supplied, which in return prompting the IT and business researches. Take the investment of venture capital for example, in the past decades, the business as well as the IT
field occupy the most part of the venture investment, therefore it greatly benefit most technological companies. Google, expanding itself by absorbing varies of investment and purchase different kinds of IT companies and therefore lead to the great transformation from the companies focusing on the researching business to that devoting on different kinds of activities such as the cell phones and the broadcast and ect.

In the long-run, without seriously considering and observing, we may draw some hasty decisions on which kind of the works of the scholars and researchers would benefit the scholars most. For the reasons that many discoveries and inventions need to be proved to be correct or of great use to the people before they can exhibit their talents. For instance, many newly invented
medicines such as the drug for curing the AIDS or the cancer, need to be tested by using clinical methods for years before the patients are able to use them. What is more, some discoveries may go through for some time before it can be accepted, an outstanding case occurred in the early 21 century, when the geologist Alfred Wegener suggested that the continents were at one time connected, many geologist discontent him, however, decades later when some other significant geological discoveries were put forward, his theory was proved to be correct.

What we should concern it that habit is the best teacher, people are generally more willing to pursue what they interest most because for they pursue them for their own sake, so that the motivation is intrinsic, which is regard as the best motivational state. By devoting on what oneself interest most, the potential power is aroused and therefore has a large energy struggling for it. The Nobel would be an ideal case, he concentrated so large amount of his time on his research and discoveries that he even had not married when he died. From this case, we can see which role interest play in people's behavior.

One should never be ignored is that when people enjoying the researching on their field, they should not ignore considering the question whether the researches benefit the humane society. People are social animals who can not live alone by distracting themselves from the society. As a result, the works are not only belonging to themselves, but the whole society.

In sum, scholars and researchers are encouraged to concentrate less on whether their works are tightly linking to the society or not, one may be emphasized is that we are all social human beings, every effect we strive for do give contribution to the society, though one may never know when it take effect.
