"Reissue" as a mean to find out the unknown world and solve human's confusion; and "upset" means to create or revolute. When it comes to the science and art, I partly agree with the author's broad assertion that the scientific function is to reassure while the artistic goal is to upset. Nonetheless, when the science brightens our unknown knowledge, it also brings more unexploited problems to us. Also, the art's purpose is much more than revolution.

To begin with, I concede that the scientific development indeed produce tremendous improvements in the quality of human's life, and our society has dramatically changed by science and technology. For example, in the past, people didn't understand the phenomenon of solar eclipse and lunar eclipse, and though it was the end of the world. Also, people always though the earth is a plate form. However, Comrombus' traveling around the world proves that the earth is a ball. Nowadays, people not only understand the normal phenomenon of eclipse, but also is able to go to the moon. As to the art's purpose, true art is the product of the artist's authentic passion, a manifestation of the artist's creative impulse and a creation of the autistic’s spirit. Beethoven created a new style of music, which remark the watershed from classis music to romantic one. Picasso’s works also upset the forest conception of painting.

However, on the other side, the development of science brings us to an even wider unknown world, and brings us new challenges. With the understanding of the world and the universe around us, we have found that our human is so trivial, and there are so many knowledge outside the earth is unknown. With the development of auto-machine, although it makes people's life more convenient, it also put the challenge of resource depletion and environment contamination in front of us. What's more, the genetic engineering, such as clone technology, lifts the scientific issue up to an ethics and moral level. In one word, just like Einstein once said: if we compare what we known to the inside content of a circle, and what we have not known to the outside
content, the more we learn, the bigger the circle is, then the more unknown thing we face with.

In addition, the purpose of art is far from upsetting. Perhaps the oldest definition of function of art is that it provides pleasure artistic achievements, which make our world a better place to live.
Besides a few of artists who contribute the revolution of art, the major artistic works mainly focus on the purpose of giving us inspiration, lifting our spirit, and inciting our creativity and imagination, all of which help us appreciate and find out the beauty of human's life. The Mosaic's melody makes us feel comfortable, and peaceful; XXX's songs incite our enthusiasm of life; Da Vin Qi's painting gives us inspiration of creation, and so on. Therefore, the art's value represent in many aspects rather than the purpose to upset.

Obviously, without the development of science, our human even still have no ideas about ourselves as well as the world around us; without the creation of art, we couldn't have such a beautiful and colorful world. In the final analysis, I still insist that the science also put more challenges and problems in front of us, and art has much more merits other than the upsetting.
