早上7点半赶到使馆门口,已经排了挺长的队伍。一直以为预约的最早的签证时间是8点,问了一下前面的人才发现还有7点半的。签证官的上班时间应该是8点的呀。很快我们就通过安检进入大厅,首先排队交表,然后按指纹,大厅里人很多,以探亲和商务为主。那天的签证窗口开了8,9个。不知为什么,我们这一队6人很快被安排到了最后一个签证的窗口(很多人提前我们排队等候的呀),签证官是个年轻的美国帅哥。因为没有时间交流,所以我们只知道自己前面的也是签F1但是是去读本科,我们是队尾。我们旁边的一队6人都是北大到stanford的交流学生,后来都通过了。
这个签证官给人的感觉是特别的认真,问题也问得比较多,哎,一看就没有水果的希望了。果然,除了第一个人高兴的签过,中间2人都被check,而且签证官对专业问题问得比较细。还好我前面的F1还是顺利的签过了,这给了我们信心。
me: Good moning, Sir.
VO: How are you.
me: I'm fine. ... This is my husband.
VO: 抬头,nice to meet you.
Husband: nict to meet you.
VO: What will you do in U.S.?
me: I will study CS in XXX university ... for my phd degree.
VO: What specified field will you study?
me: Software ...
VO: Have you written some applications? (大致意思)
me: ??
VO: Are you a software developer?
me: No, I have worked as a software test engineer...
VO: Do you have a C.V.?
me: Yeah, Sure.
VO: Thank you.
me: 我乘着VO仔细看我的简历的机会,说了几句自己的工作经历和留学的想法。
VO: You will study for about 6 years? (I20)
me: Yes, the doctral program is designed to be 6 years. But if I work harder, I will get my PhD in about 4 or 5 years.
VO: (nod)
期间VO大多数时间都盯着电脑。
这是VO把我的材料都收了起来,看起来好像胜利在望了。开始问我老公的问题了。
VO: Can you speak English?
Husband: Yes.
me: 这是我又乘着VO看资料的时候,说了一些我和老公的认识过程。还问他要不要看我们的婚宴照。结果VO说不用了。等了一小会儿后。
VO: Have you applied Visa before?
me: Yes, we have applied B2 Visa for our honeymoon in 2006. We have been in many cities for sightseeing, such as New York, Washington DC, Texas. They are interesting cities.
