Everyone has friends, and everyone has the possibility to see your friend to make a mistake. What should you do in this situation? To persuade the friend not to fall in trouble as possible as you can? Or stay in silence to avoid your friendship to fall in trouble? As far as I am concerned, friendship mostly relies on three factors: honesty, responsibility and stability. So I will try to prevent my friend from doing wrong things if needed.

Honesty is the basis of friendship. If you want your friend to be loyal towards you, you must be loyal towards him/her. Choose to say or do nothing when your friend is going to a mistake means choose to be dishonest to your friend. In fact, it equals to lying. Some day your friend will find that he/she has made a mistake, and he/she will realize that you was not honest to him/her then. Imagine how would he/she feel. Do you believe that your friend will be honest to you from then on? I don't think so. In my eyes, say or do something may destroy your friendship now, but keep silence will definitely destroy your friendship tomorrow.

Additionally, responsibility takes a very large part in friendship. To be a friend of somebody give you a responsibility to that guy. You should care about the life, the work, the mood or even everything of your friend and offer your help when they are in trouble. Do nothing when your friend is going to mistake stands for that you give up the responsibility as well as the friendship. Though you two still look like a pair of friends afterwards, you are no longer indeed for no responsibility, no friendship. In this way, you are cheating your friend as well as yourself.

Last but not the least, the real friendship will not be destroyed easily. Then how can one friendship be a real friendship? It must overcome lots of difficulties, sometimes take pains to grow stronger. As good friends, you two must face the challenges towards you relationship from outside and inside. Only in this way you and your friendship can become better together. So please don’t escape or hide, just tell what you think to your friend. Your friendship will not be destroyed, but benefit from it.

In a word, if you think your friend will do something wrong, you should say your feelings out. By doing this, you will add up the honesty, responsibility and stability to your friendship, which are foundations of a real friendship.
