This is a hot topic about how to deal with tradition and modernization. Some people say that we should choose tradition while the others do not.  In my eye, I think we show keep the balance of tradition and modernization.
Traditon refers to beliefs, values, customs, ways of life,etc., which are handed down from generation to generation. In China, it is a tradition for a family to gather together during the Spring Festival like the west people do in their Chrismas. Some children get money as a lunar New Year gift to show the best wishes from their parents and eldships. It is a tradition that we can not discard.
In summer, some parents often cook some special things to prevent ourseleves from the hot weather. The necessary rout for China's historic development is to transcend agriculture civilization and to realize social industrialization and modernization. The invention of computer changes the world. It changes the work mode we used to adopt. It changes the way we used to get in touch with others. It changes the way we used to search for information. It changes the way we used to make a presentation. We all thank for the creator of windows,Bill Gates who is now the richest people in the whole world. Modern technology improves our life, however in some extent it pollute the environment.
Tradition and modernization should coorperate with each other. Ancient culture and modern development exist side by side. Wenmo continuation of traditional architecture, modern interpretation of life taste. Traditional culture exerts far-reaching influence on modern school education. Beijing Olympics opening ceremony blends technology and tradition. In other words, without tradition, there would be no Chinese characteristics of modernization. These examples stand upon all show that tradition and modernization are compatible.
What we must handle successfully is how to keep the balance of tradition and modernization?  In my opinion, we should learn from tradition and use modern technology to impove tradition and it is acceptable that these two should learn from other's strong points to offset our weakness to promote the prosperity of human culture mutually.
