这是我的第一篇issue, 用了很长时间，而且感觉思路还是没打开，请各位G友帮忙看看，提提建议，8月底就要考，写成这样实在是汗哪-_-||!....:dizzy:

Is it true that studying history is valuable when it is relevant to our daily lives? The speaker gives the absolute and narrow view about studying history. Most important reason to studying history is not that knowledge of history helps us solving the special problems of our daily lives but it can provide clues to solving these problems.

To begin with, studying history would encourage us to stand up to the challenges. History provides many examples of greater people, who represent an enormous courage and tenacity in the face of adversities. For instance, we can learn from the experience of Thomas Edison that a myriad of failures are really precursors to success. Persisting in our ambition, we will be able to succeed finally. Contrarily, history filled up not only with successful human but also with failure examples. Reflecting on these failure, it provide us a caveat what caused the failure and how we turn the opportunity into a reward.

In addition, it is commonly know that knowledge we learn from indirect experience is more than that we learned directly. Our life is too limited compared with the historical of human beings to experience and learn about all things. Studying history can help us to know what we should do and what we should not do. It can help us avoid our past mistakes by reflecting on our history. A telling example of the failure of Prohibition during 1930s involves the legislation morality, this lesson provides an important caveat to our government to avoid the similar failure.

Finally, understanding the past is fundamental to understanding of the present. Studying history cultivates the ability to analyze the problems that we face today. The doctor diagnosed the illness based upon the judgment done in the past and then makes the further summary. This summary can, in turn, be regarded as the basis for those who live after the person. We are constantly using the historical information and researches to enrich our knowledge and point out the future guidance.

In sum, the speaker fails to recognize these important reasons to studying history. However, the knowledge of history helps us better understanding the contemporary social phenomenon and the approach towards solving the problems. Studying history can contributes to our society further development.
