Leader of a certain group is widely focused on because the behaviors of him may influence the benefits of the group to some extent. The speaker asserts that the leaders are supposed to maintain the highest moral standards. While I concede that a leader with good moral standard are more likely to do good to the group, it is not the most important or even not necessary for a leader to keep this standard in certain aspects of life.

On one hand, a better moral standard of a leader may prevent the people regulated by him from being harmed. Since a leader like this is more likely to keep away from abusing authority even if he have the right to deal with something related to the benefits of the people, the leader are supposed to maintain the standards in his work. For instance, Liu Zhiwei, a well-known officer who has been sentenced to death before long, had abused his authority to make money for himself. He failed to keep his standard when many companies ask him to help them to do something illegal and given him much money. The lack of ethnical standard in work will lead to the bad outcome that the benefits of somebody or even the whole country were damaged. That is the reason why he was sentenced to death.

On the other hand, in the case that the leader can keep his moral standard in the work, it does not matter if he can do the same in the other aspects of life. For example, He Hongcan, a boss of a big company, is known by people not only because his scandals in his daily life, but also because of his clear mind when dealing with a difficulty. Albeit he has got many lovers in his life, which was looked down upon by people, however, he also lead his group to handle the crisis of economy and become famous since then. If he can make the best choice in his work and have the ability to deal with the most difficult problems, why we should suspect him only because of his scandals.

What is the most important, when we judge if a person is a perfect leader, we may consider about if he have made the best choice in time of difficulties. Consider, when we are electing the monitor of the class, we are most likely to ask if the future monitor can provide us many after-class activities? If he can balance the benefits of students and the school? If he can make full use of the limited money the school provides us? And what changes would be brought about? Although we may also consider the moral and ethical standard of him and ask if he will do more for the class on the condition that his own benefits are being damaged. But these things are all of less importance in contrast with the standards mentioned above.

To sum up, there is no doubt that when it comes to the benefits of the majority, to not abusing his authority is what a leader should keep in mind. But if you hope to become a effective leader, you are supposed to place more emphasis on your ability to handle difficulties and your new idea about innovation. In this case, no one will reject you even if you are not perfect in other aspects of life.
