Scandals, an eye-catching word which appeared since the very beginning of the society, has always placing a dilemma in front of the cilvilians(citizens). Whatever fields it happens in, such as politics, academia, or sports, it can often attract our attention on that problem, in a way that others never could and has a impact which sometimes overshadows the essential meanings of the event.

In the first place, another aspect of facts is revealed by scandals in an unsuspect(or insuspect??) way to the audience. This is a good way of warning for the awareness from the people. For example, with the rapidly advancing technology, the academic researchers have more opportunities to access a pool of abundant useful information for their research. Therefore academic cheating is becoming increasingly noticeable during the recent years. Last year, nine doctorial students in Beijing University, the top educational institution in China, were rejected after one year study, for their entrancing research papers were copied from the internet. Shocking by the news however, citizens now recognize that even the authentic entities could hardly match with their fames.

On the other hand, the existing way of valuation may be altered when scandals appears. As we all know, football match is one of the most fierce competitional games. The best players could enjoy an extravagant life, buying a flat with more than one garden while the poor performing players or teams may worry about the meals tomorrow. As a result, no matter with what methods, most players try every means to win. The ethic confusions raised. Drug abuse, changing the age records, XINGHUI the CAIPAN, a large variety of problems became appearent which frustrate the order of the society. Thus, the only way to solve those dilemmas is to revalue the existing moral rules or customs so that people may reconsidered what originally appreciates and depreciates are when scandals happen.

What is more, some of the scandals had been so over-emphasized that the real spirits of the events are lost. Knowing that humans are born with curious instincts, some groups of people, especially the politics, intentionally fabricate scandals for their counterpart. Take the US former president Bill Clinton for example. The worldwide-known sexual scandal made him lost his reputation that even now when he is noted, still large number of people would refer to this story rather than his contributions to the country. Positive affects of his effort should not be neglected in spite of the scandal. As the famous actor once said:" you can deny my private life, but you can not deny my art ." As a matter of fact, scandals reduce people's concentration on the things which are indeed needed.

As all the discussions mentioned above, scandal deserves people to consider more about what it brings to us and which attitude must be paid towards io it.

个人认为，只要涉及什么社会，政治的公正性的问题，Watergate scandal肯定少不了
