TOPIC: ISSUE141 - "Most people recognize the benefits of individuality, but the fact is that personal economic success requires conformity."

Individuality is highly valued in the society when there are so large a population and so fierce completions. People can not success or even live on without individual effort, when everyone is not only seeking a better life quality, but also makes individual value comes true. However, in the era requiring communication and teams work, no one can success without the contribution of conformity, even though he/she is a genius.

Individual success process great significance in the society, where all kinds of people exists seeking their own self values. Individual success shall give great encouragement to his followers when youngsters are on their way to success, which forming a great force making the society on its way of development and success. For instance, one of famous professors in our university showed us his success in the medical research field and his aim to improve this part by his effort in his lecture. After the lecture, every one of the students was interested in the department and determined to learn more and do better in this course. That demonstrated that not the lecture but the success of the professor made us fascination on his course. In another incidence, Bill Gates' success arouse great of followers contribute their wisdom to the internet industry and computer science. His enterprise also set great example in the world inflecting thousands of people.

On the other hand, personal success requires conformity. In most cases, large scale program can not complete by individual. You know, the town of Rome was not set up by one day; at the same time, the town of Rome was not set up by one person. In preparing hosting Olympics, we need not only the governors but also architects, builders, drivers, volunteers and even sweepers. The same principle can also demonstrate by the assembly of Swiss watch, whose steel is come from US, battery from Japan, screw from china, etc. Newton, the father of physics, once said: by standing on the shoulders of giants, I can success. Without the development of mathematics and philosophy, Newton can not find the law of universal gravitation by fall apple from the tree.

With no exception that anyone's individual success is due to both individual effort and conformity. Individual success is usually based on predecessors' contributions. Any step in the science field is a combination of accumulation of knowledge forward and some improvement after that.  In the world of information, conversation makes more comprehension, arousing more inspiration, promote cooperation. During conversation, one can learn more from others and also correct fallacies in ones elves, which will give advantages of the whole group. So in the era of innovation and creatition, inspiration not only comes one's own head but also from sharing ideology and experience of each other.

All in all, personal success not calls for ones own effort but also the communication with others .We can make a conclusion that the importance of conformity is equal with that of individuality.

Conformity 可以看成是共性，即大家共同需要遵守的common sense
即是，个人的成果有个性的作用同样离不开共性。
