15. Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer

Neighbors are those who live near us. Everyone would like to live with good neighbors, for a good neighbor can bring about a great amount of facilities and convenience so as to make mutual life easier. Then what are the qualities of a good neighbor?

In my opinion, first and foremost, a good neighbor should not have some bad habits. Some bad habits, smoking for instance, could badly deteriorate the health of residents nearby. Some other habits, though might not influent residents in person, do harm to the whole community as a whole. For example, if a neighbor always put the trash out of the dustbin, or even litters anywhere, he/she is doomed to be blamed for not protecting whole environment of the community. By the same token, when some people choose where they would live, in all likelihood, they prefer where there are good neighbors who have no bad habits. They do not want to be gotten involved in the endless upset from their neighbors.

Furthermore, a good neighbor must be very respectful to everyone who live near each other. " Respectful" means that he/she would never attempt to peer at or squeeze at what happens next door. He/she would respect others' privacy and even when unintentionally known something related to his/her neighbors, he/she would definitely preserve them as a secret without reservation. In return, he/she might mostly win others' respect as an honor.

Finally, a good neighbor is willing to help others when those next doors are in need. In our daily lives, emergencies often occur. If you have a good neighbor who is pleased to give his/her hand when you are in great need, life is easier to go. When you are in shortage of salt or spices when cooking, a good neighbor is happy to lend you them; when you are locked out of the door, you can stay in your good neighbor' house till another key-holder come back home. Also, when in some extremely emergency, such as a robber breaking into your home, a good neighbor will not hesitate to call the police.

To conclude, a good neighbor is a person who has no bad habits. And he/she must be respectful and always loves to help others.

第一段有一点点问题 我贴在这里

Some bad habits, smoking for instance, could badly deteriorate the health of residents nearby. 这个例证有一点点牵强的 他在他家里smoking应该对隔壁的人家没有那么大的影响吧 如果这个topic是说roommate 那么smoking还比较合适一点 Some other habits, though might not influent residents in person, do harm to the whole community as a whole 这里用词重复了 as a whole在这里其实可以省掉. For example, if a neighbor always put the trash out of the dustbin, or even litters anywhere, he/she is doomed to 这个 你是指“注定”么？ Doom是destiny, fate的那种注定的说 用在这里会不会太严重了的说be blamed for not protecting whole environment of the community the environment of the whole community好像比较顺。。。我也没把握. 1.这个例证有一点点牵强的 他在他家里smoking应该对隔壁的人家没有那么大的影响吧
可考虑换个例子,比如说noise,很大level of volume 的music. 写的时候只管向上写,没考虑那么多. 你说的很对!

By the same token, when some people choose where they would live, in all likelihood, they prefer where there are good neighbors who have no bad habits.这一句和前一句为什么用“同样的”或者说“由于同样的原因”来承接呢？逻辑关系不太对阿。。。
