Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents should allow children to make their own choices rather than determine their children’s future for them.

作文：

Allowing children to make their own decisions or determining their children’s future for them
has been bothering parents for centuries. Different people who belong to different culture might
behave differently. Chinese parents would prefer to decide their children’s choices and Americans may like to allow children to choose what they want. As for me,I will choose the latter one.

Children who determine their own decisions may have a larger possibility to posssess  a happy and successful life than those  who do not. On
one hand, Determining their own choice makes children feel that they are the master of themselves rather than a slave who is subject to others . these independent children will obtain a strong sense of freedom and have a strong motivation to do what they choose.In the process of acting their choice, they may possibly be captivated by their life or career they choose and would not even feel weary so that their can reach the peak of themselves. Charles Darwin is a telling example. Charles Darwin , who is the most of influential biologist, chose to devote himself to the biology rather than be a doctor that his father want him to be. He followed his choice and chased his dream .Eventually, his research of evolution became a significant milestone of biology.If Darwin had become a  doctor, he would have been an unknown doctor instead of the greatest biologist. On the other hand,
Children who make their own choices frequently would more possibly know how to make the right decision at the critical turning point because they gain a lot of experience of making the decision during their early life. So they will Take the opportunity when it comes.

In normal circumstance , the decision made by parents is not suitable for children. Usually, parents just wish children to achieve what they did not accomplish instead of consideration of children’s interests and personalities .The will and the desire intruding upon children probably diminish their initiative to finish their jobs. Children destined by their parents’ wills more likely suffer depression and are not clear about what they are really interested in. Because of the perfect arrangement of everything by their parents during every stage of life ,Chinese students are accustomed to being arranged by other people so that most of them do not know what they really love and do not know how to make the right decision when they face choices. Ultimately, they lost themselves and cannot find a way belonging themselves to success.

Overall, I disagree the claim. I deem that every child has his own way to grow and what parents should do is to let him go with the least interference.

The advent of television and telephone has greatly affected human beings’ life. Television and
telephone has become an indispensible part of person’s life. People watch various TV programs on
television ,and people use telephone to say ‘hello’ to their parents and friends.
Which one has more effects on humans? Different people have different opinions . In my view.
I regard telephone as the more influential device.

The invention of telephone has brought a lot of convenience to human being. People are able to chat with their friends and parents at any time and location by telephone.
People can substitute the quick and handy text message for the slow and inconvenient letter. It means that if we want someone to know what happen around us, just send a message to him ,and he will know at an amazing short time. the telephone has reduced parents’ worries about their children because parents are able to be clear about their children’s safety timely through a call. In addition ,with the development of telephone, some people even can work through their phone at any place rather than work together at a certain office. However, The telephone has some negative effects on human beings. For example, It somehow poses a danger people’s mental health, especially senior people., and people become increasingly rely on cellphone.

The television also exerts a great impact on human beings. The television enables the latest news to transmit over all the world in one day.
We can know
about the latest policies the government issue
as soon as possible through the TV.
In addition
the television allows people to understand other foreign culture ,broadening
people’s horizons . Some educational science TV programs ,like discovery ,impart a lot of knowledge to people through the TV.
The TV also influences us somehow harmfully. It endangers children’s eyes and makes more people lazy . Some violent films result in the increasing crime of youngsters

If comparing television and telephone comprehensively , the telephone might affects people’s life more deeply. In the present day, People might not live well without
telephone because they
have regarded
telephone as the most important communication device. Managers need to contact with their workers using telephone, and Mothers need to talk their lovely son who work or study in another province. In addition the technology of telephone are always
improving, even some of them have an possibility to replace computers. But the technology of television seems to come to an end. It is entirely possible that the television just is a
function of
cellphone.
Therefore. I deem that
the telephone has a larger effect on humans

Life lies in movement，which is the most philosophical proposition of sports.
Sports are
an essential part
of every human being. They shape people’s bodies ,make people healthy and diminish our stress. Apart from these aspects, I deem, sports endow people with more lesson
about life.

Anyone who takes part in sports will experience and learn a lot of things ,such as competition , cooperation, leadership and honor.. these things allow you to understand thoroughly some aspects of life and society. Take basketball sports as an example ,The glory of honor will tempt players to compete with their adversaries
and win this game. During the match, they must try their best to compete and fight against their rivals. If they dare to treat their rivals lightly, they will easily suffer the pain of failure and realize the cruelty of competition. In addition, In order to win ,they must cooperate with each other effectively. Because
one man’s power, no matter how great it is, can hardly seize the game.
However, a bellwether sometimes can organize their team efficiently and effectively ,and boost players’ morale when players feel low,
which may change the result of games.
Sometimes ,life is like a basketball match. In order to win, individual must know how to fight and cooperate.

To be a brilliant player is to let people experience the difficulty of mastering a skill. Being adept at any skills is long and painful way in which everyone will encounter his bottlenecks In order to overcome these obstacles and reach a new peak of himself, every player need to pay patience to their stasis , persist their boring practice and adhere to the belief that practice makes perfect. Kobe Bryant is a telling example. He continuously seeks to the way to improve his skill and endeavor to practice this. That is why he can keep his peak for a long time.
Actually life resembles this process in which everyone has his peak and nadir.

In addition , playing sport will allow people to experience the variety of life. Life contains not only the work, but also
a lot of meaningful things like sports . Therefore, I agree the claim that playing sports will give us more lessons about life.

With the process of industrialization , people have been capable of having a lot of chances to choose his job rather than be fixed practitioners.  But this seems to be a problem that has been bothering  youngsters.  Should young people choose a certain long term career directly or  try different kinds of jobs before taking a long term job ?  Different people hold different opinions.
From my perspective,  It is better for young people to try different kind of jobs before taking a long term jobs.


To begin with,  most young people are not clear about  jobs that suit for them when they graduate from college. Therefore, they need to try several different kinds of jobs.  After experiencing these jobs, they may find out jobs that they really want, and then they can focus on his loved and long term career ,and make some differences. For example, a young person who major in the computer science at the university  is likely to understand that his favorite job is accounting rather than his major  after dabbling in several kinds of jobs.

Secondly.  A long term job without job shift may exhaust young people’s enthusiasm and make them lethargy.  A young person will soon become weary because of  same and repeated daily  work . In contrast ,trying to different kinds of job would keep young people motivated and excited because every new job is a new challenge to every youngster.

In addition, different kinds of jobs will enable young people to experience different kinds of life. For example, the job of manager will allow you to know about how to communicate with each other effectively .  Being an brilliant electrical  engineer will give you the happiness of successfully making an electronic device . These experiences young people get from different jobs
Will broaden their horizon ,and enrich the knowledge of different fields, which  may be helpful for their final and long term career.

Overall, trying different kinds of jobs is a great choice for every young person who cannot find his real career.  These who have an ambitious goal about them future had better dabble in several kinds of jobs because these jobs may do them a favor in their future. Therefore, I agree the claim that young people should try several different jobs before a long term career.

With the step of globalization, people begin to become eager to know about others who live in foreign countries. There are a variety of ways in which people can more or less get information of other people culture.  Such ways include the TV, Internet, Newspapers, magazines, etc. Some people claim that newspapers and magazines  are the best ways to learn about a foreign country.
However, for my perspective, I do not deem this is a right statement. Newspapers and magazines actually have several drawbacks ,and there are several better ways to understand the culture of a foreign country.

Most of newspapers and magazines are inclined to report explosive news instead of common news.  In fact, these explosive news, which happen occasionally, do not reflect the real life of this country , but some unusual life of this country. If  a person learn about this country from the newspaper and magazine frequently, he or she may considers the report on newspaper as the real life of this country. But those common life which are not written on the newspaper may the true face of this country.  For example,  If a  foreign newspaper is inclined to report robberies. People who live in another country may regard this country as a very dangerous place. But probably robberies may happen one time in a month.

In addition ,since the report on the newspapers are edited by some journalists and these journalists may hold emotional perspectives on the events, the information of the newspaper may be biased ,  misleading foreigners.  Furthermore,   in order to boost its sales, some newspapers exaggerate  events ,making them draw people’ eyes.  This may distort the real fact.

There are some more excellent ways that people can understand the culture of a foreign country. These ways contain history books, film, and a wonderful tour to this country.   History books mostly represent the real occurrence without judgment by some person. So people can form their own perspectives rather than be influenced by others’ opinions. Also people can be clear about the process of the development of this country’s culture from the history book. From the films, people can be familiar with foreigners’ daily life . A tour to this country may is the best way to know a foreign country.  A proverb goes that “ seeing is believing ‘,  people can experience and feel the real life of a foreign country.

Overall, I do not consider newspapers and magazines are the best way to learn about a foreign country. Reading the newspaper may give people more understanding of this country. If people are eager to know about a foreign country,  having a travel to this country is the best choice.
