How a government are supposed to allocate its attention depends on many variables. Any governors, from the brilliant to those who seem more or less mediocre, have their different plans on how to deal with the problems at different terms, in which cases, the discussion above seems useless. After all, any rational people would care about their future, even very rarely. And in some cases, the officials do not even have any freedom to plan which problem they firstly want to solve. Therefore, it goes without saying that government should pay attention to tackling the emergency at present as well as the variety of expected problems.
     To begin with, the importance of solving the problems at the present does not always outweigh the importance of analyzing the future, because hardly could a government anticipate what problem will happen, more time and resources must be spent on the more problems of the “today” after another “today”, which most of the governments would not want to see, clearly. For example, the efforts used in dealing with the global warming, really take up a large part of works of govenments of most countries in the world, would not directly do any change to the people in the temporary and, but may helping the human avoid the worst situation.
     Also, we cannot neglect the anticipation of the majority of its citizens by and large represent the potential tendency in many ways, thereby governments in many countries usually try to learn and influence the public’s expectation so as to bring back an easy future as well as go out of the buttom, especially for economy. For example, to help the gloomy market rebound, the headmaster, who is in charge of managing the economy, always announces the intention and a group of policies of government in public before taking any measures in reality. So, for those govenments who have been mired in the mud of the Recesssion, making a colourful and lively promise about tommow in public expectation is the main way to being through the difficulty, because most of people, at least, need the confidence to go out of the sadness of “today”. They really do not hope their tomorrow will repeat the depressing plot of today. In other words, making a better tommow is the way to go out of the difficulty of the present. Solving the problems in anticipation is by far a necessary measure to solve the problem nowadays.
      If we consider the the political constitutions in some countries, the statement seems out of touch with the reality. What the government will do have already been set by the election. The voters have by and large pre-determined the work and the task of next generation of government. Despite the leaders are entitled to make their decision according to the varying situation, the government at least could not go far from the promise in the election. So it is not the point for the government to care about the present or the future. The point is to what level a government could make their own plan outside the willing of the public, which the statement do not consider.
      The statement may falsefully understand the responsibility and the work of the governments in many countries. After all, nowadays, the anticipated problems are more related to the survival of human being than the present, so there is no reason for government to consider more for the present. The anticipated problems in the future are at least no less important but more imperative than the present problems for most of the governments.
