We all live in an era of an increasing demand of high-educated people who are well-balanced in both physical and psychological aspects. Both the perceptual and the rational factors are required to train students to be all-rounded person that can adapt to social needs.

Reasoning and logical thinking helps students to form the ability to understand elementary rules in all the science fields that reflects a basic recognition of the whole world. That means through this kind of thinking we know what it is and what’s the difference between A and B. Natural science such as mathematics, physics and chemicals require students think logically as well as they themselves are considered effective ways to stimulate and develop their ability of thinking. Apart from law of the nature, man-made laws which are regarded as guards to protect the peace and steadiness of the society are also the fruits of reasoning and logical thinking. Without deadly logic, every aspect of the society tends to get into a mass.

However, reasoning and logical thinking is not the only factor that determines one’s quality level, in order to take different attitudes to different matters or people to pursue the maximizing the achievement, what we need is the ability of self-emotion control and management. For example, two tennis players with almost the same tennis skills standing on the final court, the victory always depends on their adjustment of emotion at that very time. To some extent, the emotion directly has impact on the appliance of logical thinking. And it’s same for every student even every one that wants gain achievement in their life that sometimes it’s the self-emotion not the skills that dominates the success. In addition to the adjustment of emotion in various occasion, it’s always right that according to different people, different proper actions should be taken to achieve the best result. Even the appliance of serious laws sometimes will be adjusted slightly to certain case when considered specific conditions of the suspect.

Actually, we have to see the present situation that since many education institutions are eager to pursue the profits brought by the fulfillment of certain mark which requires student to pay most of their attention to logical study at the same time neglect emotional training. Students tend to be weak in handling with their emotion. In the long term, this mode will lead to a general lack of psychological quality and further affect the society’s creativity and vigor.

After all, in the contemporary times, the changing society developing in a high speed calls for a balance of educated quality between reasoning and logical thinking and the ability of controlling one’s emotion. The lack of emotional intelligence should be fetched up to cater to the needs of the times. As Rousseau has put foreword “perception and reason are unified”, both of them affect students’ success.
