Thus, we at Green Thumb Gardening Center can increase our profits by greatly expanding the variety of vegetable seeds we
stock for gardeners this coming spring."

Evidence indicates that growing own vegetables has attracted an increasing number of consumers. At the same time, a national survey conducted last month shows that many consumers were dissatisfied with the vegetables in supermarkets. Then the author infer that if greatly expanding the variety of vegetable seeds they can have their profits increased by sales of gardening magazine Great Gardens, which seems reasonable at the first glance, but with further considered we can discover its illogicality.

First, the national survey receives a conclusion that many consumers were dissatisfied with the vegetables available in supermarkets. The survey was conducted only last month. There may some factors that are unfavorable for the vegetables, which affect the consumers' evaluation of vegetables. If last month is the coldest month of a year, we can infer that it is certainly that vegetables provided in last month are inferior to the ones in other seasons. Also, if last month is a rainy month, the vegetables fail to receive sufficient sunshine for the cloud-mussed sky. So, we can only say consumers are not satisfied with the vegetables provided last month rather than a whole year.

Second, the author consider it certainly that it is a magazine introduce how to growing vegetables. But we know nothing about Great Gardens except it's a gardening magazine. Maybe it is talking about the kinds of vegetables or flowers. Alternatively it may be tells us how to choose fresh vegetables. In this case, we know the author relate a possible increasing profits to an unknown magazine's sales that is a failure.

Even though, the magazine's sales will influence the profits. We have none evidence to prove that the magazine sell well. Because the argument just states that the magazine Great Gardens has sold out at the Village News stand three months in a row.
The sales volume is still unknown. Also the whole argument is based on a basic survey that conducted nationally, the results is an average statistics, maybe it has the special case locally.

Overall the argument begins with a survey conducted nationally. But at last, it infer in locally where may have special cases. What's more, the results are all based on the possibilities, which fail to convince the readers. So we advance to the author to conduct a comprehensive survey and study to the market or consumers. It is the only way to assure the company to get profits increased.
