Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The ability to cooperate with other well is more important today than in the past. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

With the rhythm of modern life accelerated increasingly, people have to deal with information and take actions in a limited time. Besides, the process of updating knowledge and developing technology has speed up society’s evolvement. If one wants to adjust to the society, or play a role in the society, or achieve his or her goal, the ability to cooperate with other well is of utmost importance.Since Adam Smith proposed the theory concerning division of labor, the way in socialized production has improved greatly and effectively. Smith assumed that a worker could produce 4800 pieces of pins per day through the division of labor, while without cooperation one might just produce nothing. In a sense, division of labor can be classified as a form of cooperation. It is a vivid example that people realize that cooperation can bring world high efficiency, reduce unnecessary waste, and adapt to complicated conditions.

As the world becomes smaller and smaller due to the process of globalization, the connections between people have become closer and closer than ever before. Especially in the era of information explosion, one cannot tackle with everything correctly, quickly and efficiently on his or her own unless cooperating with others. By the cooperation with others, people have achieved lots of extraordinary goals. Take the International Space Station as an example. The International Space Station has been established by 16 countries for almost 15 years since 1993. Different countries are responsible for variety of difficult tasks. Without the perfect cooperation, human beings’ dream about space exploration will never come true. In other words, cooperation creates the win-win situation.

Additionally, human beings are social animals, that is to say that ordinary people cannot live alone without association.From the sociological perspective, the ability to cooperate with other is a kind of interpersonal skill which is indispensable in the 21st century. It helps one learn to get along well with other and understand other better. What’s more, cooperation is becoming the solid foundation of harmonious life.

Therefore, I think the ability to cooperate with other well is of vast importance, no matter where one lives in the world.
