With the advent of information era, huge changes have been taken place in our society which radically improves the way people live. However, technology can only serve as a kind of strength that makes a difference of people’s life. No matter how advanced, they can not be the conclusive factor that determines our social customs and ethic.

As we view history, we can see how profoundly science and technology have changed our lives. In considering the education area, nowadays students have much more alternative selections to pursue their intellectual path-- besides the traditional way that studying in classroom they have options to take internet based courses which make the distance less of a problem. When it comes to business world, people in the modern society are no longer just associated with their own small groups. By the means of so many kinds of transportation, business has no nation boundaries. As world tend to become a village where people can easily be in touch with each other, the trend in economic globalization become more and more evident. Let alone how people's daily lives have been improved dramatically due to the development of scientific technologies. All these changes are far beyond what our ancestors can imagine.

Undeniably, such changes in every aspect of people's lives have somehow influence the social customs. The most evident example is the way people communicate. As electronic communication production have gradually take the dominant in market, the traditional way in communication with others like writing a letter have been supersede by sending an e-mail through internet. Because of the emergence of computer people tend to type a lot and to write less. And the massive new rising industries have radically transformed the way people spending their spare time. When it comes to a holiday, more and more people choose to have a good time in KTV, cinema, or all kinds of bars. More importantly, women are more likely to be one of the greatest beneficiaries of modern technology. With the help of so many kinds of modern cooking apparatus, women have been liberated in the tedious housework. Now, they have more choices to determine their lives rather than simply stick in the sea of housework.

However, we still should not make the hasty generation that technologies determine social customs and ethics. For the reason that social customs and ethics have been formed since the very beginning of human history, culture and surroundings play more vital roles than technology in determine social and ethics. The basic moral ethics and traditional social customs can not be easily changed by technology. For example, people going home and having family get-togethers with their relatives on spring festival in China have been never changed. The fundamental ethics in China that showing respects to the elders and loving your family have even been enhanced. Therefore, technology just plays one part in influencing people’s social customs. People’s customs and ethics are formed by complicated and integrated factors which can not be easily determined by any single factor.

In short, technology may make a huge difference in people’s social customs and ethic. However, it can’t be the decisive one.

这文章的结构第一二段意裙重叠了~但三段倒是对的其实你可以增加一个方面比如说 custom and ethic 可以反过了影响 technology 比如核战争的发展就是收到了道德的限制。。。。。。
