As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

    Why are the people living in today getting so indolent that they spend less time in studying, practising, even thinking independently? There is a response to this confusing questions that the bane of people's indolence which will lead to the deterioration of human beings is the development in the field of technology. However, I hold a contrary opinions to this statement.

    Nowadays, our technological improves greatly with every passing day and affects every corner of our society. The vehicles we take shorten the time we spend on the way to our destinations; the computers we invented reduce the repeated work which is time-wasting to scientists; the Internet we designed get the people all around the word much more closer. These great efforts made by technology do save a lot of time which can use freely all by ourselves. However, the provider of the time can not determines the usage of the time. Furthermore, it all depends on the preference of individuals who enjoy the benefits provided by the technological development. Put it simple, they can either satisfy with the enjoyment got from thinking independently, or enjoy the great happiness experienced in the computer games. In conclusion, the inability of people in making use of time instead of the improvments of technology accounts for the sadly deterioration.

    The precious thing provided by the result of the development of technology is not only the much time we can spend, but also the assistance and basic things of our thinking. The significance of the basic data and figures to the research is as the basement to the building. Without the basement, the building over the ground will collapse no matter how brilliant it is. So do the research. By the help derived from the technological improvement, such a Internet, we can easily get the essential figures data or some primary knowledge whose possession is so hard to get that we have to throw ourselves into these basic work rather than research without the help from technology. In some perspective, technological development is the efficient support of our thinking instead of the cause of the deterioration.

    Furthermore, the development of technology can advocate the process of globalization which lead to an evolution of the world's communication. Globalization can inspire and strengthen the specialization among several countries whose advantages can recuperate other partners' defect. As Adam Smith express in 《the Wealth of Nations》, the globalization will encourage the improvement of production greatly. What's more his hypothesis about the relationship between social production and specialization have been proved to be true. Therefore, the technology result in the evolution of the society rather than the deterioration.

    Technological development, which is still one of the goals of today's scientists and entrepreneurs, must have the justifiability to exist for so long time. The inventions inspired and assisted by the technology development which can save our time or do the simple but boring work done by our own hand in the past are not the significance and greatness of the technology. The thing what we benefit most provided by the development is the evolution of the ways of communication and the new angle to know our society.
