When it comes to the evaluating to a individual, the author asserted people who lived after him only had the right to make decisions. However, I partly agree with the assertion that in some areas, such as art and science, the famous individals must be evaluted by their after gererations during several centries. While in some other arenas, the greatness of individuals have been decided well by their contemporaries.
Admittedly, the value made by the famous little individuals is lasting, the greatness of them must be tested or retested by those who live after them. Taking art into consideration, most of people cannot read some inner meanings involuded in the art maaterpieces, therefore we cannot make the right decision to evalute one piece. Almost every artist is misunderstanded and ingorance by their contemporaries. When the contemporaries appreciated the famous painting of Van Gush's "sunflower", they just looked it as a normal
picture with thinking about the lasting value. So the contemporaries tend to ignore the real lasting value of art, and art must be final decided by those who live after the great artists.

Moreover, science is faced to the same misunderstandings. After all, science walks before our time and is developing all the time. Scientists whose talence and thoughts are always advaced than most people, must break our most people's stubburn in the tradition and inspire the sense of people's innovation so that they can push their theories. However, less scientists have did successfully. Scientists used to be ignored, misunderstanded, unbelieved and even given up by their comtemporaries. When their theories are recognized and put into practice, it will be after centeries.

Whereas, the greatness of individuals can be also decided by their contemporaries in some arenas. Taking businessmen into consideration, their aim of jobs is very accurate that is to make money and make their enterpieces developed and advanced in the same areas. What they should do is make the decision to fulfill the need of stock-in people in the enterprices and take a increasing bigger part of the whole market. So, it is soon to see the
good or bad influences after what businessmen made to their business. It is their contemporaries, such as stoke-in people, the opponents and so forth that can make the decide to evalute whether a businessman is successful.

All in all, in some areas, only people who lives later can make a decision on the greatness of a famous man, such as in art and science. While on the other hand, it is the contemporariws that should decide it, just as in the business arenas.
