正文：
Nowadays, competition is more and more important in our high-speeding developing society. In the other word, development depends on competition. Our society needs development. Of course, competition is to some degree not so beneficial, but in general ,competition is ultimately more beneficial than detrimental to our society.
Competition exists every field in our society. Let’s bring our discussion here to a more present and practical context, it can be given a concrete example: My first competition was tying shoes against another 3 children when I was a child in the kindergarten, which namely means competition even between some innocent children, perhaps just for a candy. Then, when I was a student in high school, competition was considerably remarkable in our study. All of us study very hard to be ranked over other classmates even in every tiny exam. In fact, everyone wants to get an offer of a better university in the final exam. What’s more, in the outside world of mine, competition exists in business competitor , in colleague in the same company, even between two different countries.
Why is competition everywhere? In my opinion(From a personal perspective) , there are three aspects of meanings can explain the question. Firstly, competition can develop individual ability. As far as I am concerned when I was a child tying shoes versus 3 other children, I failed, I was the last one tying my shoes completely in the end and I was upset. After that I was inspired, I exercise everyday, and even I could finish tying shoes in a second. It’s a little exaggerable, but what I want to say is that competition is helping me of my tying shoes ability or some other ability ----working against upset mode. Secondly, competition also can make the produce develop. For example, there is a great program, constracting a student apartment building for a school and there are two main building companies now. In fact, there is a competition between the companies. Which company the school will choose depends on two main(essential) factors, the quality and the cost. So the more advanced-tech-owned and lower-charged company will take this program. And the loser will develop its produce for the next program when compete with other competitor. It is the competition that makes the produce develop. And what’s more, this example above also refers to the last aspect of meaning of competition---competition can make the society resource more reasonable-used. When the school choose the better company, which means the company would take the society resource including building material and human resource to finish the program more effectively than the other company.
However, malignant competition will be detrimental to society, because that malignant competition will produce conflict between competitor if they were not treated fairly. For the individual, it has a debasing impact on personal development, for the society, it may promote the tendency toward disturbing the order.
In general, reasonable competition will be more beneficial more than detrimental to the society.
