新G issue26，写完结果又是这么晚不愉快！所以还是要有先把提纲写好的好习惯，因为这次尝试了一下直接写会是什么感觉，结果就是被逻辑给强X了T.T 11月13号考试所以这段时间我会开始比较密集的写作文跟发帖，大家有空也可以帮我改改作文，给个分也是可以的~谢谢你们~~（给分就按满分6分给把，再谢谢一次！！！）

The luxuries and conveniences of contemporary life prevent people from developing into truly strong and independent individuals.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

Significant developments have taken place during the past few decades, which provide people with a more convenient and diversified life. However, the contemporary life has also created several debating, one of which is the life itself is inhibiting people from becoming truly strong and independent. Before drawing to a conclusion, I'd like to illustrate my opinions towards the statement.

To begin with, the concepts of "truly strong and independent individuals" could vary from one to another, which may hence lead to the question that whether luxuries and conveniences hinder citizens from developing into strong and independent people.

On one hand, current life could have a negative effect on helping people become strong and independent. Indeed, before lifting tools and machines are invented, when people tried to move something, they had to mainly rely on their body strength which would eventually make one strong. However, with a push of a bottom, everyone can easily move ponderous goods nowadays. Besides, with a convenient solution, people rarely try the hard ways. A cogent evidence to support the idea is that the average weight is increasing among advanced places. Moreover, not only strength is weakened, but also independence. As people are taking more advantages from the benefits of present life, less independence of oneself would have in an individual. To some degree, a person depends his/her existence on the luxuries and conveniences. Due to the highly developed social network and mobile device, we are sharing our feelings and favorite belongings with others, in the mean time searching for acceptance from a larger range. This phenomenon implies that people are seeking themselves from other people and things, which result in the loss in the independence of an individual.

On the other hand, strength and independence may be enhanced by contemporary life in a way. In a rapidly advancing society, one could be easily overwhelmed even by the daily life. Your excellent idea might be copied and destroyed by the opponents, and there is always someone who is richer. Thus, people need to be well equipped when confronting with life. Other than preventing the development of a strong and independent individual, under the pressure of existence, a strengthened mind would be formed. As a matter of fact, people in the past are more likely to help each other which could be interpreted as not being strong and independent. However, with the technology, a person is able to accomplish more jobs by oneself and withstand more pressures from all aspects. With the conveniences, people would require less help from the others. Before telephone was widely spread, people have to walk a long way to borrow a phone so that they can call their families far away. With the luxuries, qualities of life are improved, which keep people away from diseases. Decades ago, thousands of people died because of flu, but if a person catches flu, although a shot at the doctor's may cure it at a blink of an eye, having rests for a few days may also solve the problem. Therefore, it can be said that the luxuries and conveniences of present help developing strong and independent individuals.

We can't deny that contemporary life provides us with a convenient and luxurious environment. As was discussed, the statement can be either correct or wrong judged by the aspects taken. Therefore, I think it's the best people make most use of the advantage given and create a better future for themselves.
