do you agree or disagree the statement?
playing computer games is a waste of time, children should not be allowed them.

With the increasingly development of technology and economy, the computers become the most popular tool for study and amusement. An issue that raise up with the computer games is that whether children play the computer game is waste of time and whether the computer games should not be allow to children. Some people argue that the computer games are not harmful to the children and should be allowed while other people hold that computer games cost too much time of the children and should not be allowed to be played by children. In my perspective, I prefer the former idea. There are numerous reasons to support my idea and I would like to explore a few important ones here.

One very strong argument for my choice is that playing the computer can help the children studying other courses better. It is commonly knows that the study burden is so heavy for students nowadays especially the Chinese students who must finish so much homework from all courses that they have few time to relax themselves. The computer games can severe as a good stress reducer for the young students. For example, on the weekend, when the children have finished their homework, it is the computer games that can help relax themselves and let them have a good prepare for the next week’s study. It is convenient for the children to play the computer games compared to other activities.

Another strong reason for my attitude that playing computer games are beneficial for children is that from the games they can learn much knowledge that cannot be acquired from the books and schools. According to a recent survey, when people do the things what they really interested in they can remember much information and learn the knowledge more quickly than doing the things that are boring for them. For example, the computer game “empire battle” is about the history of the roman and from playing that game the children can get a deep understanding about the history of roman.

Of course, playing the computer games have some disadvantages to some extent. the most essential task for the children is learning the basic knowledge from the teachers and books and the computer games can only be additional things for children. For example, if the student plays the games everyday even the whole night they will lost the interests in the courses that plays the fundamental role for their future.

Some disadvantage though allowing the children to play computer games, they cannot compete with the advantages, when all the factors taken into consideration. As far as I concerned, I would draw the conclusion that it is rather beneficial to allow the children to play the computer games.
