今天做了一篇TPO20的第一篇阅读，也就是Westward Migration那篇，错了两道题，都是EXCEPT题型，review觉得题目蛮诡异的。
先看Q4

这个题我没有选D是因为原文里面“The European ancestors of some Americans had for centuries lived rooted to the same village or piece of land until some religious, political, or economic crisis uprooted them and drove them across the Atlantic.”要说D错了的话就是“the need to escape religious or political crises”错在need这个词上了？
我选的A，但说回来A确实是这段的中心。
错的好无语。

再看Q12

C是原文中一点都没提的，但我当时infer了一步，因为有的费用降低了，所以produce也会降低，对比D，D在文中也就只有“the cost per mile of transporting a ton of freight from Buffalo to New York City declined from nearly 20 cents to less than 1 cent.”沾边吧。。。
答案当然选C。。。
还是错的好无语。。。

Q4目测是没读懂，Q12.。。

Q4，你可以用排除法做下，context里提到了American society, restless, improve social and economic position, change occupations easily. 所以排除一下，答案就是D。我认为D错在，指代错误，escape religious指那些European ancestors of some American为了逃避the stratification of European society.和why westgate 关系不大。
Q12的话，还是用排除法做，A, B, D,在context中都提到了。所以排除下，选C。

个人认为，与G的强推理性相比，T阅读用排除法可以解决很多问题。

Q4，我是这样理解的。文中说的是“some religious, political, or economic crisis uprooted them and drove them across the Atlantic” 并不是等同于“to escape religious or political crises”.我做托福的时候，向来是，文章讲的什么，即什么，不能推理的太多。尤其像Q4这样，把主语、宾语反过来推理。欧洲人驱逐美国人，导致他们游牧。不能等同于美国人为了逃避驱逐而游牧。
