At some universities, students take part in making decisions about the issues that affect daily life of everyone on campus, such as how many hours that the libraries should be open each day or what kinds of food should be served in the cafeteria. But at some universities, experts are hired to make this decision, students almost never involved. Which approach do you prefer and why?

Thesis statement:

From my perspective, I will support the former approach. It is very significant for university to allow students to make decisions about issues that affect daily life of everyone campus.

Middle paragraph 1 (adopt the PIE model to plan your middle paragraph)  

Point:
Students usually have a clearer understanding about campus problems than experts. Because they live in school every day, so that any problems related their daily life can be quickly found.

Information (examples):
For example, library on campus is almost a welcome place for studying. Students who go to library frequently know the actual using state of the library. If let students decide the open time of the library, a more flexible and practicable decision can be delivered.

Elaboration (valued principle):
During the process of students making decision, students’ citizenship skills and awareness are encouraged and cultivated. Additionally, when it comes to solve some perplex problems, students need to figure out how to find key issues before making final rationale plan. Therefore, students’ involvement in making decisions can provide a valuable opportunity to exercise their abilities of logistic and rational thinking.

P:Taking many subjects will be better for they will have a better understanding of the world in a more interactive view.
I:They can learn and practice different skills in different subjects. Example: Math-Calclbtion, mathematic analysis skill. Lecture-reading and comprehensive skill..  (identify, more specific, connect taking courses and skills development. 例子要具体比如Solving eco problems in the subject--mathematic analysis
E: Through these skills, they can try to transfer their skills in different subject, and have the interactive view and critical thinking towards an idea.

Thesis statement:
It is more meaningful for students to participate in the decision of issues affecting daily life of everyone. Considering the majority of people in campus are students, the true demands from students could be more capable of being satisfied and there is more flexibility on altering the decision when demands changing if students authorize the decision.

Point: It is more likely to satisfy the true demands from students if students authorize the decision-making process.

Just as the demands on the market, only those who needs would dominate the whole decision-making.

Thesis statement:  In university democracy, experts as "Philosopher-Kings" are able to to make better decisions about the issues that affect campus daily life than students themselves.

1 Experts, like professional politicians, are full-time and informed decision makers. Experts have more specialized knowledge and analytic skills on the issues.

2 The experts, thinking for the benefits of the whole campus and balancing the stake of all parties, can make more objective, just and visionary decisions than the students that may be selfish and myopic. Of course, experts should be ensured that to make decisions based on the common good.

3 Some people may argue that opportunities should be utilized for students to engage in democratic processes. However, this democratic process across the whole campus can be costly and inefficient.

Point: closest to original knowlede without second-handed knowledge, this way is convenient and cost less investment, that's flexible and be used to review at any time to help teacher to master skills deeply
