0925：“Do you agree or disagree with the following statement：The advice from the grandparents is of no use to their grandchildren because the world has changed a lot over the past 50 years.”

Over the past decade, with the rapid development of science and technology, an increasing number of people consider about education. Some people claimed that the advice that grandparents gave to their grandchildren is still useful even after various revolutions around the world over past 50 years. I, however, strongly disagree with this statement.

Initially, the ways we acquire the knowledge is relatively different from the past ones. The primary reason is that what kinds of knowledge the children are tested have already changed. For instance, my grandpa is an intelligent scholar. He always got the greatest score in every exam. And at that point, the only way to attain excellent grades was to recite almost every word in their textbook. So, he suggested me to do so when I failed in my Chinese exam. However, nowadays the education focuses more on the comprehension of the textbook and the ability of gain the knowledge beyond the lesson. In order to make achievement on my grades, I should read enormous number of the masterpieces rather than only repeat the passage over and over again.

Furthermore, the elderly always insist of these excessive traditions and in fact, some of those seem to be ridiculous in the modern world. It means that as the free announcement is gradually accepted by a great deal of countries, people renew their idea of life by surfing the Internet and reading assorted magazines. Consequently, many constricted and unnecessary tradition were eliminated. Nevertheless, the old people may still believe these things and advise their grandchildren to remain deferring these meaningless custom. The best example to explain this is my own experience. One day in summer, I was going to an extra course by wearing a short skirt and tight T-shirt. My grandma, Nonetheless, ask me to wear a jeans when she saw me dressing like that. She thought that was disrespect to the teacher. I absolutely confused about her absurd request and had an argument with her. It is usual to dress like that in a hot day.

To sum up, although the advantages that advice from the grandparents lead are considerable, it cannot compete with the benefits that gaps between two generations brings out, when the differences between the approaches of obtaining knowledge and the conflict of excessive and old-fashioned traditional are taken into account.

另外 总结段我写的是让步形式的 意思是 即使说祖父母给的建议有好处 但是它是不能和两代人之间的代沟向比较的  特别是当考虑到获得知识的方法的差异和太过的旧传统的时候  ^0^

0926：“Do you agree or disagree with the following statement：Compared with people who live in urban areas, the people who live in rural areas can take better care of their families.”


Over the past decade, with the rapid development of science and technology, an increasing number of people consider about life tendency. Some people claim that the rural people could take better care of their families than those living in the cities. I, however, strongly disagree with this statement.

Initially, the urban people could enable their children acquire proficient knowledge. The principal reason is that in the urban area, the parents could have various choices when they face the problem of entering a higher school. Among the urban school, a graduate student from great institution around the country seems eligible to be a teacher in a public school. In addition, the majority of the schools in the cities have libraries providing enormous amount of academic materials and old newspaper in order to establish a favorable environment for students to study. On the contrary, the people living in the countryside could not care for their offspring such well, at least in education. The rural children always have a hard time getting to school, since their villages are most likely that do not gain enough fund to build a school. Consequently, they are obliged to walk a dangerous route to get fundamental courses. There is nothing pretty but some functionless chairs and desks.

Furthermore, as a result from uncompleted medical equipment, the rural people could not look after their family effectively. The common approach that these people solve their physical pain is either to collect some herb from the nearby mountain or utilize tradition or religious belief, which is useless and unscientific. Even if some of them travelled a long distance to the urban hospital and were then diagnosis cancer, they will not take the treatment because of the gigantic expense of it. By the contrast, in the city, if the one’s family member is in the same condition, he or she could be took nice care, for the one’s ability to earn enough money in the modern city to pay for the medical cost.

To sum up, although the advantages that settling in the countryside leads to are considerable, it cannot compete with the benefit that dwelling in the urban area brings out, when education and health care are taken into account.
