In recent years, many people complain that they even can not say a word with their children, the communication between parents and children becomes more and more different, the war between them has never stopped. The two generations can’t understand each other well. I will agree with the opinion that the parents do not understand their children as well today as parents understood their children fifty years ago. And I will provide concrete evidences to demonstrate my point of view.


First and foremost, as the fast development of technology today, children pay more attention and spend more time on the new inventions instead comunicate with their parents. This makes children have no time to understand their parents. For instants(这个地方本来想用example呢，但是突然想到了这个词，这个短语应该是表示例子的意思吧，请教高人！), when a parent want to talk with his child, the child is playing computer games dedicated and he may feel fed up with what his parent say. This contributes the distance between them.


In the second place, people are busier today than in the past, almost all parents are busy with their own jobs and they have no time to talk with their children. Everyday after work they spend their time on cooking, doing deep research, and the relationship between other people. These things make them feel very tired when their children talk with them or ask them some questions. On top of this, people and children all feel that it is better for them to keep silent when they are facing with each other.


Last but not least, the new inventions, especially the internet and much other new stuff that people can’t see in the past make it is difficult for parents and children to communicate with each other. The toys in today are much different than the past. Parents couldn't understand children well when they are playing with a new toy. This is another reason that causes the distance between them.


To sum up, it is a serious problem that parents do not understand their children better. This is not good for children's developing. Parents should spend more time to talk with their children and only by this way that can make children grow up well and make the family happier.
