The professor refutes the viewpoint showed in the passage that it may be the best way to assign a project to a group of people in a team by showing some negative aspects of team work found by a company.

First of all, the professor makes the point that as the group members without contribution to the project could enjoy as many benefits as those who contribute greatly do from
it, those real contributors would feel unhappy rather than good as the reading implies.

Secondly, the listening says it will cost too much time to reach an agreement about how to deal with a project among team members, which would prolong the project. This is opposite to the statement in reading material that a project could be done quickly in a team, due to the
sufficient human resources.

Finally, the professor says wise proposals from influential group members may be dropped. Meanwhile, a project-ruining decision made by an influential group member could suffer those innocent members whose warning was ignored by others.

In conclusion, the speaker completely rebuts the viewpoints of the reading about team work.

The lecture apparently refutes the points illustrated in the reading material. In the reading passage, the author contends that drought is the real reason why A vanished。However， in the listening material，the professor disagree with the statement demonstrated in the reading for the following reasons。
The first evidence the professor uses to cast doubt on the reading is that although there was a world-wide global-warming around 1130ad，the area where A lived seemed not to be badly affected by it due to the fact that there are still some trees alive in that area at that time，which is oppose to the statement in the reading that it is the global-warming that led to the disappearance of A。
Another point the speaker adopts to contradict the passage is that the irrigation system， such as dames and channels， found in that area doesn’t necessarily means A were lack of water。on the contrary，he says these facilities may imply that A mastered those techniques to store water and thus protect them from drought，which differ from the statement in the reading that the finding of irrigation system could confirm A‘s shortage of water。
At last，the professor says drought is just a possible cause of the vanishment of A, and there are still another possibilities， such as attacking by other bribes，diseases and out-use of farmland。

The lecture apparently refutes the points illustrated in the reading material. According to the reading some scholars has found some evidences which indicate that M may not ever travel to china. However, the professor in the lecture casts doubt on this point by stating that these evidences used in the reading are not convincing.

First of all , the professor made the point that although M never pick up any Chinese place name in his book and most of the mane are from P, it doesn't mean he never travel to china, because p is the main language used in the trade between Asia and Europe and thus it is normal for M to borrow chinese place name from P. This directly contradicts what the passage indicates.

In addition, the professor says that M main live in north china where the tea is not yet popular by that time. So the second evidence made in the reading that m fail to mention the tea and tea house in china is understandable and could not confirm he never live in china.
Finally, the professor states that the third evidence pointed out in the reading that there are no record about M in the Chinese and mogul history is also understandable, because M may used a different name when he live in china, or the record about him was just lost.
