I would say start from the very beginning, even consider a pre-med bachelor degree.

Get start with straight A GPA, and decent MCAT, do some volunteer job in the hospital, do some summer research and publish some paper in the labs, and make sure get those LORs, then you sure will have a much better chance than having a bachelor degree in our mainland. These all need consistant hard work from the first day. Just move on. BTW, There will be several more Medical shcool just opened when you will have graduated 4 years later, which means you will get more chances.

Wish I will not still on the same residency matching pool at that time...... Just to avoid your strong applicantion. ^_^
Kidding, that will be 9 years later, I can not wait that much.

Then, with net work, your data will earn you mondy. But when you just doing hard work, do not think about the salary.......

楼主这么年轻 又有一定的经济背景
我和med student上过课 不是很难 但是确实需要下功夫
做医生 不仅是为了挣钱 更多的是能看到一个病人从躺着进到站着出的那种感觉
楼主从第一天开始 gpa 医院的volunteer 假期找实验室做research 自己努力建立connection从而获得医生的推荐信 当然还有mcat 这个考试你肯定没问题 最难得可能还是connection

现在问啥都没用 MD的要求很清楚 成绩 MCAT volunteer经历
非绿卡不是没有希望 只是需要你很强
你要是自己觉得自己GPA到不了那个水平 就放弃好了
但你现在要是刚入学 不至于直接就觉得自己成绩就会差了吧
先学2年 看看再说啊

我觉得volunteer和lab经历都是可以补的 不够可以毕业专门用一年时间加强
但GPA 低了就低了 挂了就挂了 没办法了
我现在就后悔当年没好好弄弄成绩 唉唉

I see for JD and MD, those guys really work hard. They can keep almost straight A GPA with all kinds of volunteer and research in the lab, and keep professional smile all the time.
That's so hard......
When they entered the Mecial School, they have 1 or 2 test every week, but still keep smiling. I say, that's being professional.
But if they can make it, we can do it too.
