TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Educationwill be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet theindividual needs and interests of each student."

In this area of rapid scientificand technological change leading to increasing knowledge variety andcomplexity, both individual needs or interests and social requirements should call for a balance. ThenI would process a case-by-case discussion on the issue below.
First of all, as a truly effectiveeducation, it is essential to meet the students' needs and interests. Thecommon saying "Interest is the best teacher"" shows theimportance of interest of an individual和importance重复 in his or her education. Fleming wouldnot had found the penicillin from a rotten culture without his interest ofchemical researching and, and the antibiotic would not had been developedwithout the concerns and needs of curing illness which caused by bacteria. Moreover,to encourage the interests in their studies would help students to fosteractive attitudes and independent thinking. Contrarily, if an individual isalways taught something boring to him or her willy-nilly, he or she would comeinto hating study.
Secondly, as a school, to meet theneeds and interests of every student is impossible. Education usually requiresa lot of resources of money, facilities, teachers, and so on, and it isover-required for the demand of specific/special design to meet the needs andinterests of each student. This would undoubtedly multiply the consuming ofvarious resources, but maybe not aseffective as expected.Even, there are some interests and needs can be satisfied by the school. Inaddition, many significant discoveries and inventions are on the contrary ofwhat are told in the school. For instance, Galileo overthrew the principle offalling objects which asserted by Aristotle hundreds of years ago and was firmlybelieved by the scholarship at his time. Generally, not only the school cannotafford all the students’ interests and needs, but some heterodox interests would not be supported by the school.
Thirdly, for the society, todesign an education for every one's interests and needs is unreasonable. Thegovernment always wants the educational system to serve the social needs morethan those of individuals. Furthermore, in order to reach theeffectiveness, this opinion on the education of governors is rather correct tosome extent. For/Since the requirements of different professions are various, they would not be satisfied perfectly if most people are interested in several particularareas and follow their over-concentrated interests and needs without theprofessional needs of the society.
Finally, I'd like to give theconclusion that the issue of effective education is rather a complex one, andwe could not always please all the needs and interests among individuals, educational institutions, and the society. So, I think there is never a trulyeffective education in human history, and we could not balance them completely. As long as the existence of the educational system, the improvement anddevelopment of it has never paused, like the famous American historian Duranthas said:" Education is a progressive discovery of our ignorance." Infact, our educational system does havemade progress successively and successfully, and the resolution of thecontradiction among different dimensionsis on the schema.
To sum up, due to analysis andreasons discussed above, the perfectly effective education does not exist, people’sneeds and interests should be satisfied but cannot be guaranteed, and we alwayshave the opportunity of designing a more reasonable balance of differentinterests and needs.
