TOPIC: ISSUE130 - "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

According to the statement, the degree of children's socialization decide how they will buid up the prosperity of our society.Though socialization makes room for individuals to devote,good quality and high aspiration play a more significant role in the construction of a better society.
Children,the ones who will build up our future society,determine how well our future will develope.Before making children's contributions to our society,they must first learn to be accept by it.We call this special phase as "socialization".To make sure that children encounter less obstacles in their lives of serving our society,the quality and efficiency of their socialization became important.The better children are socialized ,the easier they will adapt to the lives of society including communicating,manners and work.This is the essential premise of children's contributions.
However,we know that socialization just provide the admission of society ,and do not teach children how to make a difference to our society.No matter how well socialized our children will be,it does not guarantee their own contribution to the society.Further,children who are intensively socialized,may find it hard to free themselves of present society ,and unable to adapt to a new life,leave alone to make a difference to the society.
Besides the degree of children's socialization,social commitment and the education level are a more vital factors that influence children's contribution.The level of the education determines the ability of achieving goals while social commitment ensure children make proper use of their abilities.Without the capability,individual makes no influence to the society though they have strong enthusiasm to do it;without social responsibility,people will become dangerous to our society if they have strong abililty.
In the second part of the issue,the author assert that we haven't found a good way  to raise children to bring about a better society.However,it may be unreasonable to raise children for the main purpose of creating a better society.I heard from a Asian Games volunteer training lecture that we must learn and gain as a volunteer;if not,no matter how sacred and lofty our work will be,we won't be happy and do not actually commit yourself to it.This claim reveals that children should be first educated how to pursue their personal value.No social contribution will be made,without achieving one's value.Therefore,by leading children to find out his/her dreams and encouraging them to pursue their dreams,they will ultimately realize their personal value while at the same time making their contribution to the society happily and truely.
In sum,the socialization of children make it possible to make contribution in the society but does not ensure the work.And the development of society must be accompanied by the personal development and growth.
