In this topic, the arguer asserts that it will be useless to study and go back for more understanding of the past because, so much things in our daily lives are new and complex in nowadays so that the past can not provides too much guidance for our living in the present. Actually, it is a debate on people's view concerning the history problems which became heated in this era, in which there are both agreements and disagreements about this saying and personally in my point of view, although this statement might seem plausible at the first glance, i disagree with the speaker because it ignores many important and potential functions of the history.

Initially, in our view with all the respect is, history reveals the basic regular or principles of human civilization and social development. In my opinion, history is an elder who can tell numerous interesting stories that people could learn much from it and imitate the useful parts while abandon the terrible sections. Admittedly, people have kept on studying the history all the time and gained much advantage from it in order to develop our contemporary society better. For example, human beings call for a peace environment of the world through studying all of the wars in history, they learned that, no matter what kind of purposes, or who is the winner of the war, the results of both sides are always terrible and unworthy. In this case, the history told the world how to develop our society in a more stable, effective and harmony way by many genuine stories. Therefore we must acknowledge that, no one can deny the benefit which have achieved by human beings from learning the history.

On the other hand, studying the history is a principal mission of human forever. We must admit that, as the time flies the contemporary life would also be a part of history. From this point, it is easy to understand the idea that, history is a book which will never found the end of it. Obviously, the incidents happened right now at this moment will soon become a history in the next second. We have to respect and consult to the history because it always was being fleshed and we always could find the similar problem or an appropriate method to solve the issues we meet at present.

However, to be wise in studying the history, we must notice the differences between the history and the contemporary because, the world is different in every second. In this era of rapid social and technological change leading to increasingly life complexity and psychological displacement, we indeed need a view of development to consider the problem and reference the history. Distinctively, many practical problems have changed including the customs of our lives, the technology we use even the food we eat in our daily lives and the language we speak everyday, all these developments require us to use an insightful and considerable insight to anticipate the future as well as go back to our history. For example, in old times people would like to communicate with each other by writing letters. However, as the technologies of communication developed so quick, people begun to use the telegraphs, telephones, and now, more and more people are more favored to talk through the internet along the computer prevalence and the maturity of internet technology. But, people will never like to write a letter to their friends because, the history has eliminated it. Undoubtedly, there would also no profit if the government strives to develop the post industry because through the history, we concerned that all our developments should closely compatible with the tide of the history. Only through this we can make our efforts significant!

To sum up, the controversy describes the dilemma when talked about the value of history is face by many people in this era. From the controversy mentioned above, we can draw the conclusion that, history is always a good book to read from which, people are always able to find answers to their puzzles. Meanwhile, studying the history will never end because the history will never cease. And at last, while learning the history, we should notice the differences in some practical problems between today and yesterday.
