The development of technology changes the way people interact with each other. In which way does it change the types of relationship that people make? Does it have positive of negative effect on the development.




With the recent wave of the technological advances in communications, the world has gotten closer than ever before , to the image conjured by the words” global village”. There is not doubt that our life has changed. But when it comes to the difference compare with the past, there is a controversy concern the issue that whether human beings can benefit from the change or not. In fact, what should stand in the way of estimate is a thorough assessment of what is more advantage for growing of children and the social effect.

Obviously, it looks like that new communicating mode exerts an incomparable advance for instance improves productivity, saves social resources and even booms the development of relative business. But people always ignore the detrimental effect which it brings to our emotional exchange and social contact.

As a matter of fact, now way of interaction between people certainly has the potential to bring about destructions for our emotional life. Specifically, net-surfing alienates the relationship between family members, as teenagers spend so much time with friends online but neglect the feeling of parent. In other words, the new mode produces a strong influence for our traditional cultural value and emotional exchange way. It means parents can no longer talking with children in relax and happy circumstance, for the reason that their positions are instead by digital data and image.

In addition, children who indulged in net-surfing tend to be introverted and withdrawn, and even becoming self-center and arrogant. That is what parents unlike to see. The only measure we can do to prevent it is to moderate people online-time, as well as keep emotional contact for example parent usually talking freely at dinner time with children. Therefore, teenagers are easily to adopt the effect which new technology brings to them.

A child who experiences a meaningful life and makes contribution to society is the common prospect of parent. Overall, new technological wave can brings advantages to teenagers in long-term. But in a short-time, to balance the advantages and it negative effect are a significant problem that parent have to face.
