"The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to
our daily lives."






I agree with the speaker that the value of studying History is relevant to our daily lives in some degree when history is the study of human past.What's more,history also contains the phylogeny of biology ,earth and universe.That is to say,the movement and development in objective world comprise the whole meaning of history.Thereby,history has value on others such as figuring out a better way to social problems by exploring the essence of world.



  To begin with,history,a carrier of ethical culture,help us broaden our horizon and enrich our spirit and ethos.This complicated and ambivalent history foster us critical thinking and give us a new version about our lives.As a memory of nation, it shows the continuous process of civilization.By studying it,we receive the same consciousness of national glory.Patriotism,foreign to our daily lives,is beneficial to the cohesion of the nation and the development of our country.



  Secondly,we can learn history as an instance when making decisions both for individual and collectivity.By studying the history,we can trace the cause and solution of problems in our daily lives as the rule of developing things are very much alike in the foretime and present. For instance,MBA members start fostering their managing skills by learning the history such as how Ford Henry establish his company and achieve prosperity. And Chairman Mao instituted bushfighting as a guide line for the Anti-Japanese War by consulting the Master Sun's Art of War.Consequently,this sage way exerted a great influence on and helped China acquire the final victory.Namely,with the help of history,we can make decisions that may have diverse value for both our individual and collectivity.



  Thirdly, by exploring the history of the earth and universe,we can find some orderlinesses on the process of universe and the biological evolution and growth.By utilizing these rules,we can reconstruct the nature to fit our life-style.More and more fishes are kept for us to feast as the discovery and utilization of growth rhythm of fishes.Additionally,as the rules of the movement in the objective word are discovered,we explore the universe in the hope of finding a new planet for us to live.Facing the situation of population boom,exploring the universe is a good method to solve this social problem despite the short of value that is relevant to daily lives.That is to say,as the development of earth and universe history,more and more rules are utilized to satisfied our daily lives and establish our better future.  



  In sum,not only our daily lives but also our country,future and so forth is relevant to the discovery of history.
