Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A job with more vacation time is better than a job with high salary but less vacation time.

In terms of psychology, any one wants to live a relative leisure live with high salary, but in reality, more vacation means lower stipend while tense work can gain more incomes. Which one do the majority of people choose? The ones with high salary but less vacation are here and there. The advantage of high income job overweighs the works with low salary.

First and foremost, high salary jobs can provide more money to meet human’s basic requirement compared to the more vacation ones. According to Maslow’s need theory, money is an indispensable factor to determine whether or not the human can fulfill their radical living needs. Let’s make an assumption. When you obtain little money which is hard for you to live in the current society, would you feel happy to choose this kind of job? In my view, most people will consider more about the high salary jobs.

Furthermore, under the control of marketing economic, every individual can feel more pressure. They should consider more things such as earning enough money to buy a house. In this common atmosphere, high salary jobs are unquestionable the first choice although these works is the representative of hard work and less holidays. Like my sister, for instance. She lives in a metropolitan full of competition. when I ask her why she wants to be more busy for higher salary jobs, she answers that many people want to seek fortune, they care

more about their living standard, whether or not the jobs can provide more holidays is secondary consideration.

Last but not least, only through these high salaries jobs, can our society or nations achieve today’s success. With high repay, these jobs always can make more profits per hour, which can exactly convert into a value of the whole country. Moreover, in some companies, the staffs choose to seek more income without more vacations. For example, a very famous consulting company—KPMG. In this company, the members voluntarily work for extra time without being coerced. The instinct of human compels them for more salary.


In sum, the jobs with high salary can make people more content with their high level lives and greatly meet their need foundation. In current social situations, earning more and more money is the predominant consideration. And just these jobs have always improving the whole society’s development.

No one can deny that in the past 50 years, the telephone has played a more and more important role in people’s daily lives. But for telephone, it is easy for us to communicate with the people who are even in the other countries in the world. But that is not to say, the effects of telephone can overweigh the advantage of television.

First and foremost, television greatly broadens the people’s envision. Through TV, they can learn much knowledge which is not taught by teachers. For example, when we watch some tour programs, it is quickly for us to know the worldwide scenery or traditional customs of other minority nationalities.

Moreover, TV is a necessary tool for us to contact with the world. Watching news or enjoying live performance extremely makes our lives be full of fun. We can quickly know which one is the most fashionable clothing style in this winter by the TV clothes shows.

Last but not least, only through TV, can people feel more relaxing in the high pressure work. Maybe some one will argue that nowadays, Internet is more fashionable for recreation, but the basic principle of these new products are totally based on the techniques of television. Let us imagine how cozy it is when you can lie on the sofa and appreciate the programs on TV at the weekend. Even more, for many older people, TV provides them a good method to kill time because they never need to work and often is apt to feel lonely.

In this passage, the author points out that the number of the bird is decreasing because of the threat coming from three aspects--the high dense population, increasing agriculture areas and the use of pestcide. However, the professor in the lecture declares that all the evidence in the article is not convincing.

First, the professor argues that the urban also provide larger and better habitats for some other kinds of birds although some birds species have been affected by the urbanization. Then she gives the examples. Some sea birds and pigeons are more apt to suivive in the urban. Therefore, the total number of birds was not always shrinking because the rise of some birds number. That statement intensely objects the point in the passage, that is, the increase of human population will take up the suitable habitat of birds and make the number of birds shrink.

Second, the passage asserts that the agriculture will deteriorate the shrink of habitat for birds and cause the number of them decrease further. But the professor thinks that in current society, every year, there is less and less land to be used for agriculture because the introducing of high product crops which make the people never need to colonize the habitat of birds where they can cultivate much crops.

Last, the professor casts doubt on the statement of passage that the pesticide will kill the birds or impair their reproduction. She points out that nowadays, many pest resistence crops were planted in the field which never need much pesticide, so it is natural to conclude that the pesticide will affect less to the birds.

In the current society, our living space is becoming quicker and quicker, so many people intend to seek for the most efficient solution according to some problems. It is easy for us to envy those people who are very creative and tackle many questions with their wisdoms. However, is it to say that creative is the best way to deal with the problems? In my perspectives, meticulous plan is also indispensable factor for us to find the solving method.

First and foremost, careful plan is a more common way for people to come up good solution compared to being creative. Let us to recall our history. The creative people can easily come into our mind—Alberta Einstein, Edison, Watt etc.. We can not deny their great contributions to our society. But why they are so impressive and preeminent? The main reason is that there are a few people who can so clever enough to initiate that creative methods for problems. As a common person, what should we do? Good plan plays a very crucial role. We often have experience that if we can make a good plan, many problems can be dealt with. For instance, in order to solve one math question, we can first refer to our text book and recite relevant conception, then do many exercises, at last, this question will aptly be solved.



Furthermore, in many situations, a good method depends greatly more on the good plan. Some methods just look seemingly being dealt with by a creative way but only through the continue plan, these new results can be maintained and a lot of detailed problems can be totally tackled. For example, many years ago, Einstein predicted that our human beings should pay more attention environment. But what happened consequently? Expanding agriculture, overkilling the whales in Arctic and producing much fume from factories and cars. Now, all the governments in the world realize that we should protect our earth. Then, they design a very detailed plan. As time goes by, many facilities and institutes have been establishing all over the world. The pollution situation is becoming controlled step by step.


All in all, I never mean that the creation is meaningless, but the more critical thing is that we should balance well between innovation idea and elaborate plan. The latter one can help us to successfully disperse the uncertainty and suspicion of many problems.
