确认下，看了好几遍，不知道下面说的是全部ps还是关于他要求的东西写200-300字，其他的自己去写。

A Statement of Purpose consisting of about 200 to 300 words (as an uploaded PDF) detailing your reasons for wishing to enter graduate school in mathematics, your plans for the future, and any other information about your educational and professional objectives that may be relevant to your application.

求各位大侠指点。

同楼上我当时问小蜜好像也这么说的不过我提交了500多个子。。

如果能够减轻痛苦，我宁可一次次重重地摔下

我也申请了这个学校。这个要求是系里给的。但是如果你查看统一的标准，其中有个FAQ（问答）提到过这个字数问题，上面解释说这次字数规定不是硬性的，质量最重要。

Q: My Statement of Purpose is longer than the 250-to-500 word limit indicated in the application packet. Will I be penalized for this?

No. The 250-to-500 word limit is meant to describe general parameters, not a strict word count. Naturally, the quality of your statement is far more important than the quantity of words you use.

3L is citing the FAQ from The George Washtington University...

WUSTL is usually short for Washington University in Saint Louis.
