As the galloping development of our society and technology since the commencement of the industrial revolution, the conventional notion about the value of history study has met various clashes from diverse facets of the world, along with the challenges generated by ourselves. Admittedly, the core purpose and target of the study of history gradually narrow down the large scale, which once were standing at an overall viewpoint, to a relatively little perspective-our daily lives. That is to appeal to the developments of current situation, whereas the overshadowed goals, which once were the cores, should be rendered as significant as it stands.

Gone are the days that populace hold the strong curiosity to investigate into the Seven Wonders, the relevant scholars and college students delve into volumes of thick books to grasp the macroscopic view to tackle with the source of the ancient cultures, such as the Maya, the government invest much in the programs to establish the atmosphere cultivating the pubic the importance of understanding history at an overall level. However, though hardly could we claim that the trend has been totally altered, we should acknowledge the situation realistically that the gist of the study of history has been transformed to the focus on our daily lives.

There are two main factors substantiating such changes: first, during the recent decades, the importance of every common item or substance related to history is floated. We tend to focus on such tiny pivot to build our structure of thinking and expand our history studies. For instance, besides the quasi-overloaded population in China and India, the governments of that big countries have to confront the concomitantly issues, such as the spreading of HIV.To resolve the thorny problem, one of their neighbors, Thailand, provides a perfect option-condom, which helped the country get rid of the poverty caused by unsustainable sum of people at the very beginning of its independence, meanwhile decreased the rate of HIV infection efficiently. That is to say, once the majority of these two communities, which is mainly consisted of farmers and migrant workers, get accustomed to adopt the protection, the current situation would be ameliorated definitely. Therefore, though it seems to be a little step to consider the history about personal affairs, such studies could lead to great contribution to the contemporary society.

Another is the social and discipline division. Before the moment we step into the society to be a cog of the "gigantic machine", we have been imbued with the important conception that the current society demands more experts of diverse fields than any other period of our history before. As a consequent of that conflated with the high pace of urban living, to some extent, barely could most of us spare no time to concern about the history of social structure and political development, which beyond the level of daily life. Why the textbooks of Modern History(in China)develop into regional, domestic and international parts? Why the public prefer to exhume what the aristocracy wore and ate, rather than debate about the hierarchy of Medieval? Why the soap shows always hit the top, while sometimes the educational programs about history incline to go down the chimney? All these phenomena could be understood so long as we take another angle-the necessity of social and discipline division, which are reflecting the reality that under no circumstance that the society would be fraught with erudite professors and omnipotent persons.

Simply put , the modern socialization, urbanization, commercialization and industrialization not only provide us the brighter future at a comprehensive level, but call for reconsider to the study of history as well, which definitely throws the blockbuster to the understanding of its value.

However, there are several facets we should never ignore or downplay. We once emphasize on the parts of war and politic, why? Because we apprehend the significance of standing above the clouds, overlooking the picture of history development comprehensively, and we would like to assimilate the tremendous experience and lessons from the disastrous World War I&II, the totalitarianism community of the Soviet Union, the scandals of briberies and embezzlements during the past moments of any democratic country. In other worlds, even I concede such values of the history study appear to be distant from the public whose jobs are at the fringe of them, these essences sustain the operation of the" gigantic machine" and guarantee the existence of our human being.

In sum, now that the modern society gives rise to the appreciations of daily lives, it would also be possible for us to elevate the significance of all-rounded view about the value of history study as a corresponding to the reverence for the past and promise for the future.
