这篇写得巨烂,请狠拍。。。。。

题目:"In most professions and academic fields, imagination is more important than knowledge."
********************************************************************

It is true that sometimes imagination is of more significance. However, the claim is not always correct, especially when the author ignoring other parameters. Different professions and academic fields actually need different specialty of abundant knowledge or brilliant imagination or both of them. This is also reasonable when considering the case of different familiarity to the field. To illustrate my point of view, I shall give my reasons below.

To start with, in academic fields, knowledge is of great importance to those novices. Since they are not clear about the function of their fields, the proper method to make progress, the jobs they supposed to do and the problems which have not been solved. Using imagination randomly could result in separation from the reality and low feasibility. For instance, without knowing the basic principles of physics and astronomy, any attempt of a science student to explain the movement of outer-space planets creatively would be meaningless. Besides, under this situation, selectively using imagination could help novices understand abstract knowledge. Thus, knowledge, as the fundamental base of all disciplines, outweighs imagination, should be well learned first before trying to come out with any innovations.

Furthermore, after fully understanding of the knowledge in certain fields, imagination appears more important. Since problems remains unsolved are due to lack of new suitable knowledge which calls for innovations. Moreover, finding new methods is commonly being restricted by existed knowledge. Consequently, researchers should be skeptical and creative when groping for new ways under the guidance of their imagination. Galileo Galilei, as an example, could never reveal the motion of uniformly accelerated objects if he deeply believes Aristotle's theory and ignores his own imagination.

On the other hand, imagination is primary to art. Even if the technique is indispensible, imagination is crucial because it decides whether the artifact is a piece of art or not. Artists, as a profession of conveying one's own emotion in all kinds of forms, without imagination could hardly create anything valuable. In other professions ranging from entrepreneur to construction engineers, nevertheless, experience, knowledge and imagination are all critical of making achievements and solving problems. A sales man could benefit from his selling experience and customers' phycology knowledge when recommending products and invent new ways of attracting extra customers using his imagination. All of these are critical to a sales man's success.

To sum up, it is hasty to assert "imagination is more important than knowledge" ignoring specific situations. Fully considering different parameters could help one revealing the truth thus being more objective.
