According to the speaker, government should solve the immediate problems of today priorer than trying to solve the anticipated ones,the statement suggest that the speaker view the immediate problems more important. Although I agree insofar that immediate problems need to be solved as soon as posseble, but it does not mean, the government can ignore the importance of the anticipated problems, because that may,in some way, influence next or even more generation's welfare, just as what I will dicuss bellow.

The statement is clearly accurate insofar as an assumption that if a government failed to solve a particular immediate problem, the nation would lose the opportunity to think about future, when the falure at present will totally destruct the long-term struction of a nation. For instance, the financal crash of October in  1987 and Asia Economic Crisis in 1998. Any thoughtful people with some basic economic knowledge would not disagree that the force of these kind of crisis can distroy a county's economic system, not only in recent years but also probobly a long time following, the strike will be hard to recover.

Admittedly, a government ought to solve the immediate crisis and variety social problems, as mentioned above. Whereas, can anyone say the peace today will surely last forever? The answer is no. There are so many potancial crisis that exist everwhere can be figure out before the crash take place, however, unfortunately, this is usually ignored by people, and moreover the leadership. Consider, for instance, the enduring problems of environment. In most developing countries, in order to develop the industries, environment is heavily damaged. As the most common phenomenon, former crop fields become factories, rivers are polluted, animals lose their habitats, even human being's living conditions are badly dietroyed. Weighing the benefits of developing industry in this way and the costs, or harm, that have accrued along the way, the conclusion is obvious. We should take account of our next generation's living condition, furthermore, taking more advancing technology to reduse the pollution is also considerable means.

Finally, the debate come to a point, where arise a philosophic question-- we are the next generation of our parants' generation, so as the relationship between our children and us, the chain relationship keeps on. Therefore, it is our responsibility that leave our children blue sky and clean water, moreover, a peaceful world, just like what we inherit from our senior generation.

To sum up, immediate problems need to be focus and solved in time, however, at the meantime, government should not ignore the anticipate problems and protantial crisis. An effective government ought to be able to balance the two sides. In addtion, being a responsible human, we should not take the benefits for granted, and try the best to protect it for our next generations.
